C'mon Bvanter! You couldn't sell your Donzi - - you love it too much (as evidenced by your detailed building). Heck, I couldn't sell my Donzi - and I didn't even build it (except for the running system).

I'll trade you my TV, xbox, and stereo, my girlfriend wont even notice the change. At least for a few days. Actaully my cat might be easier to ship to you, shes a good retriever! Low maintance and realistic sound effects. Or then there's my girlfriend, fun but lots of maintenance.
Well worth the Donzi

Saleens7, I found a dinghy that will work for the front of the boat. It needs to be painted white and given a little TLC, but the scale looks right on the boat.
Here is the link to the website on the box...I actually purchased it from Walmart for $4.95. The figure in the box also sits well in my custom made fishing chair. I will post pics as I paint and set it up.

Just added stained glass to the Donzi. I think it really adds a nice touch to the boat. What do you think?
The artist who made the glass for me also is assembling a Dumas Donzi. I have asked him to post pictures of his build on this thread - as he is building a spectacular boat - - including bedrooms and bathrooms (complete with shower stalls and heads). Jean Pierre - - if you are reading this - - please post some pictures!
FYI - - if anybody is interested in his artwork - - I will give you his contact info.

I believe the running hardware for the Dauntless is the same as the Donzi...However I would verify with Dumas.
This is the running hardware kit for the Dumas Dauntless 49.5" and the
American Enterprise 52". This is a twin rudder, twin solid shaft drive for two
6 volt motors. Includes:
2 #2702 Drive shaft (stainless steel, 3/16"x16", threaded 10-32 at one end)
2 #2803 Stuffing box (brass, with oilite bearings, 7.25" long for 3/16" shaft)
2 #3518 Rudder assembly (stainless steel, rudder is 3" long, 5.25" total)
1 #3504 Rudder arm (metal, for 1/8" shaft)
1 #3515 Double rudder arm (metal, bellcrank style, for 1/8" shaft)
2 #3317 Strut assembly (cast aluminum, for 3/16" shafts)
2 #7013 Drive dogs (brass, threaded 10-32)
2 #7017 Locking prop nut (threaded 10-32)
2 #7016 Thrust washer (nylon, for 3/16" shaft)
Screws, nuts, bolts and washers for assembly
Instructions for assembly.
Requires 2 motors (or two 3.5cc inboard engines), motor (engine) couplings
and left and right props.

Thanks for the help, and all that typing! They got back after the holidays and sent an e-mail, the kit #2332 is for the dauntless and they said the shafts are too short. Happy '07 everyone!

No worries about the typing...I copied and pasted from Tower Hobbies. Any luck on locating that part #. I couldn't find it in my stuff, and had trouble finding it online?

I just ended up ordering the full hardware kit #2353, didn't want to because I think it's overpriced... but if Dumas is going to keep discontinuing things it'll save me searching piece by piece later on. Really appreciate the help, can't wait to start the build!

Happy that it worked out!...take lots of pics of the build, and post them. It would be great to have a new build thread on the Donzi construction.
I always wished I had done that.
thx
