JUST wanted to know about peoples dealings with TANKZONE...
I paid for a SHERMAN REAR DECK detail part about 1 month ago now and have not rec'd confirmation of my order in terms of it being shipped out...
I have emailed them a few times to check on the status as I need the part to get a TANK finished.... and just to see about a time frame.. I even emailed several of their email accounts as they request ( on their website it states for fastest service to use the email vs phone)
Just curious if anyone knows how long they usually take to respond or send out orders.... and BTW I did call their phone and no one answered.

For the amount people pay when they shop there (more than anywhere else) the least one could expect is good service.
They must sell a few tanks, take a trip around the world, come back and sell a few more, take another trip around the world... rinse and repeat

I ordered from them last spring, maybe around mid May. I emailed first to place the order then sent payment after they sent me a total (including shipping). The order (maybe four or five small parts) arrived in about 15 days.
An observation:
Lately, it seems like shipping and responsive communications has gone to poo-poo, with a number of sales departments. We're patient hobbiest and we pay for our parts, we owe them that much, and at a minimum those guys owe us an update without us having to email 'everybody and their cousin' to get a repsonse. If they can't keep better track of their due-outs, then maybe they oughtta stop MULTI-TASKING, and just do one thing at a time, then maybe they could at least achieve the 70-80 percent solution, that's good enough for me.

Yeah its not very fair on the customer: they order, pay quickly - tankzone happily takes the money, doesn't respond to emails - with the time they take they probably make double the initial payment in interest alone
Order made > Payment made > Order processing > Customer sends email asking order status.....................................Custome r sends email asking order status..........................................Cu stomer sends email asking order status............................................ ................................. > Item arrives (years have passed lol)

I got the metal tracks and road wheels and some other parts for my HL Tiger from them and they dealt with my orders very quickly and I can not fault their mail order service. it does state on the order form that you have to ask them for an E-mail confirmation on your order if you need one. time line on orders. Tuesday Place order online Friday received the order. but then I do live in England where the are based although the are at the other end of the country from me.

I can't really fault them for delivery etc. I ordered some suspension pieces for my panzer 3 last thursday morning and got them on friday! I can't complain at that. They have been pretty much like that with other orders, two to three days tops. On the one occasion that I waited a while for stuff, I received a next day reply back with the reason. Perhaps its because I too live in the UK, I don't know. I just wish they would drop thier prices a little because I would order tons more from them if they did!

sorry for being a forgetful muppet, as regards conformation, the only thing I have ever received in all my dealings is an email from Worldpay acknowledging my order.

Just thought I would pass on my experiences with Tankzone.
I have bought only one item from them, and the order was delivered quickly, so praise in that respect. But then, I am in the UK and would expect that.
However, I have e-mailed them twice with a query and no response each time - so bad marks there. The same queries posted on this and other forums were answered within hours.
They are also VERY expensive, and it is possible to get parts, upgrades, etc., from elsewhere (including the UK) much cheaper.
I think they do need to improve their whole service generally.
On the positive side, their technical help sheets are a blessing, and certainly helped me in the earlier days with my tanks.

I've been waiting since November 2007 for the Sherman VVSS simulation kit. I did receive a reply to my e-mail on 14th January saying they had difficulty with the order but since then nothing. I've e-mailed them to ask for a different items adding up to the same price but no reply. I'm fed up with waiting so I'm asking for my money back. This will be the first and last time I use Tankzone.

Well, like I said already, I got my order in about 15 days, but this other gentleman has been waiting since November 07 for his? Okay, so a company lets one slip through the crack, and that might only pull the company down to 98% efficiency, and it might be okay with everybody else that's received their order--but only as long as I ain't the guy slipping through the crack, right... They owe the guy an email, carrier pidgeon, phone call, smoke signal, something...and they oughtta be diving on a sword to make it happen. So yeah, I got my order on time, but that don't make it right for them to blow this guy off, and it don't matter where they are in the world.
here's a few scenarios:
1. they flat out forgot about you.
2. they've confused your order with a similar order that's been completed; and have since, placed your order in the completed column as well (sound familiar?)
3. they've missed so many opportunities to email you and now sense that you're probably unhappy; they are "detour-by-passing" you to avoid explaining. They're getting your emails, they're just blowing you off...
4. they don't have the parts, don't know when they will get the parts and really don't want to let you know because it's more work for them to refund your money. oh, and if they did, what's the exchange rate today versus when you paid it (assuming you're stateside).
It's not hard to figure out, they're just humans being, just think of all the things you could do, if in their position, (not that you'd do them) and we can narrow down the courses of action to the most likey, most probable and most dangerous.
So yeah, "i got mine", "but he don't got his" and that's plenty of reason for me to say 'something is wrong'. Now, when i was a little boy, and this kind of thing hapened locally (where i grew up), we called it something else...so i'm sensitive to other people's plight and see things just a bit differently, and I figure that I can complain about this guys situation just as much as he can. And if you're within five kilometers of Tank Zone, it would be a really nice thing to drop by and let em know, there's a guy out here waiting on a response, cause maybe I'm wrong and they really don't realize it.

Cav Scout, how long ago was your last order delivered from TankZone? Seems they were great up until a point, since then: no service, no emails, items turn up after months of waiting. If you get your item, you're a lucky one!

I placed one order with them about two months ago. I got my items in about three weeks, but I think that is too long. I order from other vendors in the UK and get the stuff in as little as a week. On top of that they never responded to my emails when I sent them. Couple all of this with the prices and my mind is made up. I will not order from them again.

I have ordered quite a bit of stuff from them in the last 12 months and have always had good to excellent service. I just wish the site had live stock status. Whenever I order froom them now, I always email or phone first to make sure they have stuff in stock. I will be wanting some upgrade parts for my Jagdpanther soon and wont hesitate to order from them.

I can't say anything negative about Tank Zone but I have never ordered from them either. My only experience with them is they helped me out with my HL. Tiger when I had a problem, and very quickly I might add.I wish someone in the U.S. would set up a buisness like theirs! I have had a little trouble with companies that sell other things ie. cars helicopters planes etc.they don't seem to know as much about tanks.Something to be said for the name TANK ZONE

It's been a while since I last ordered from them (May) and when i did, i got it ricky-tick, 15 days max, not bad at all. I'm planning another order for some Pzr III parts from Tank Zone, so I'm not quitting on them.
I'm not currently waiting on anything from them, but there's a guy on my flank waiting to get a response, and all the good deeds in the world don't cancell the fact he's waiting to get his "simple" response. It's important to him to get that response, otherwise he would not have mentioned it, so it's important to me too. Some could say it's none of my business, and I'd say that's fine...but they still owe him a response, no matter how good they've been to me or anyone else, period. Nothing personal, no emotional ties, they don't know me from a can of paint; I could die tomorrow and they'd never know; I'm just another guy exchanging money for their products, that's it. So i'm taking a wing position for this guy; I've already drafted my email to send them, kindly requesting their attention on those VVSS kits. See, when i place my next order, I plan to be fresh in their minds. What are they gonna do, stop selling to me, bend my tags and send me to Adhmiya?

anybody in the uk or maybe abroad that wants cheap heng long tanks £49.99 + £13 postage for a s+s tiger.
metal track kits £47 thats heng long full pin tracks, sprockets and a set of new metal gearboxs with whitecap low speed high torque motors from HOWES MODELS in the uk.
have bought a M26 PERSHING from WONDER HOBBY IN THE STATES ordered 9th dec 2007 told it was shipped on the 13th even given a USPS tracking number, USPS had no record of it. only arrived about 6 weeks later after many e-mails and many lies about its where abouts, will not deal with them again as i kept telling them if it is out of stock tell me the truth and i will understand. but no kept getting the run around, CUSTOMERS WILL ACCEPT THE TRUTH NOT LIES.
other good places in the uk are welsh dragon ( blueslateman ) anr Military might. reasonable prices and good delivery times

I have ordered a few times. The first sent here to California, but the shipping on top of the price for parts. Well lets say I had to sell a kidney. It only took 6 days. Now I have my uncle in who lives in Farnborough, U.K. order them and send them to me in my care package. You know Marmite, Loganberry jam, chocolates and cookies. And other stuff not found in the states I couldn't live with out. They are expensive, but a lot of the parts they carry I can't find elsewhere. I like ordering from Daryl Turner and ETO Armor. Fast shipping, e-mail updates and good prices. Just my two cents

Amazon.com aren't too good on tank parts, but you can certainly get plenty of Marmite that way -- about $44 for twelve 4.4 oz jars with free shipping.

My care packages from my uncle are in trade for things not sold there. He sends me a list and visa versa. Works out great. Even better now some times tank parts are included.

I have bought decals and dvds from tank zone a year ago, they are pretty quick? may be I am from autralia..
But to be honest, they are one of the most expensive places to shop. Perhaps people in Europe-especially UK earn DOUBLE of our income.

They have started selling on ebay id tankworkshop shop name is Armour Workshop
They have started selling on ebay id tankworkshop shop name is Armour Workshop
I ordered a late tiger cupola with hatch from Armour Workshop and the transaction was completed through paypal on 8th Jan. After that...silence....no email from them to acknowledged payment...no email to tell me that the part was shipped out...and the part was no where to be seen towards the end of Jan...
As I needed the part to upgrade my Torro Tiger, I ordered another hatch from Tankzone (not knowing that they are the same) and in the same time raised up this issue with Armour Workshop through paypal.
Then lo and behold, a couple of days later, Tankzone replied me that the part was being shipped. They also mentioned in essense that 'BTW, we notice that you have raised an issue to paypal concerning one of our subsidaries about undelivered product...' [X(]Around the same time in 8th Feb (after one month), I finally got a message through paypal from Armour workshop, saying "Item was out of stock. It is now underway. It should be with youin a few days. Please let me know once it has arrived. Kind regards." It was when I looked at the name, then I realised that Tankzone and Armour Workshop is runned by the same person.
Why in the world did they display the product on the ebay and took my money, only to tell me one month later that the product was out of stock?
I'll be very reluctant now to order anything from Tankzone, or Armour Workshop. [:'(][:'(][:'(]
