Any of you guys using a JR servo on the throttle or brake? That OEM servo arm for the Throttle that is raised doesn't fit the spline on the jr servo I got.

i can't complain about the braking, don't brake much. i just use a little rear drag brake, full brake is only to bring the nose down, no issues yet. the truck fly's so good already, with just the little drag brake i still have to give it gas at the bottom to even it with the landing. still lovi'n the hyper, plus mine is the only one out here so far.
I can drive it pretty good around the track without too much brake, I like the rear to grab more than the front but my problem is in the air. If I get it nose high then I cannot bring it back down. That is the MAIN problem both of us are having with our hypers. Do you use stock brakes and pads and also what servo do you use?

Both our hypers have the spektrum servos which are the same as the JR's and they fit fine. I never have to adjust MY brakes, just let them sit for a couple of minutes and it stops again. My friends I always have to adjust but the servo arm are not stripping on the servo's

HUmm there is no way the Kit horn will fit in my JR. Its for a futaba spline. Not JR.

The steering servo horn is for a futaba and will not fit.

I know that . My question is what will? As the servo horn has two sides and one side needs to be elevated. So who makes that for the JR spile? I have looked at dynamite, hangar 9, losi, etc.. Still haven't seen one.

i baught the rtr version as a parts car and it has a stand-off on the brake side of the th/br linkage.i didnt find one in the pro kit which i put together .so i have the stand-off on my car now so that the linkages dont touch the servo at all. if you want a photo let me know

Thats weird cos I couldnt fit the throttle horn to my Spektrum servo last. Im using the standard servo which comes with the DX3.0

brakes//brakes//brakes,,, ive said it before and will say it again..

get the dynamite fibre disc brakes(or equiverlent) and prob solved..take the pads off ya brakes and install the discs..even a crap servo will pull the hyper up...i use protune linkages with dynamite discs and have had to back my brakes off...ive used a stock spektrum throttle servo and perfect...im useing 5625mg hitec for throttle brakes now and its perfect..

i have it set up so the back locks up 1st at 1/2 brakes and then at 3/4 brakes the front kicks in... at full brakes the hyper front flips so ive had to adjust my epa...

even if fuel spills on the discs they still work...

Here is a pic of mine. I know better than to force them on and it just went right on. I have been using if for about 2 months know. My friend for about a month.

WRAT do you have any part numbers of what you have? I will probably do that.

i've used a tower pro mg995 till now, its twitchy and very unreliable, i had a bluebird 620 and it did great. i'll have two 5645mg's soon and a 1015 for steering. the bluebird 660mg is good for steering but slow at .18sec, may keep it as a backup though. again, i am no brake expert as i use very little brakes at all. just a little drag brake and on the rare occasion i am nose high coming down.

Thanks for that pic VNMSGT. That horn you have must fit the JR, but there isn't anyway mine would fit as it's for a Futaba. So anybody know where else to get one of those for a JR spline?

I just purchased the dynamite pro linkage set but that servo horn doesn't look like it will fit as the one side is not raised either.

Any link would be greatly appreciated to a online store that I could buy this servo horn.

Thxs.

Finally some pics of my ST Pro, I run it with Jammin Big Bores with 50wt front and 40wt rear. In my diffs I run 7k(f) 10k(c) 2k(r), all oils are from Mugen Seiki

The current engine is a OS .30 VG which I mainly use to bash araound, the stock pipe will be replaced for a Jammin JP-3
My 2nd engine is an OS .21 V-Spec which I'm gonna use for racing, I run a OS 2060 pipe on that one or the JP-3
I've upgrade the C hubs to alloy ones and performed the Hyper 8 receiver box mod as wel.

Great pics. I see you don't have your Throttle linkage setup yet? Any reason why? Also, what are you using as your rear axle hubs? Those aren't the plastic ones that come on the ST pro kit.

I am waiting on a better throttle linkage, it should arrive any day now

Those hubs are an upgrade as well, they are for the ST and Hyper 8

very nice looking ST bro, makes mine look like kindergarten class. yes, the grp tires are very good, i have the cubic and grip and they hold their tread very well. watch the edges though as mine have some tears on the sides from ballooning, easy fix, CA.

the aluminum c-hubs are rear or fronts? i don't think you need aluminum, the plastics hobao uses here are very good.

Nice CF truck bed too!!

i like the one on the left. he looks like he wasn't expecting that. i need to start doing some winning.

i use the losi fiber disks, big one in the back little one in front, seems like they will last forever. just have to hit'em up with the dremmel a bit on the inside.

Nice paint!! could you post a close up of the carbon fiber truck bed? I am thinking of doing that same thing just not sure on how to get in the grooves and have the pattern be as nice and defined as the flat areas. How did you do it? I am thinking of cutting the material and laying it down inside then spraying..... could use some help. thanks.
