RE: Dubro snow skis, Any good?

The axles need to be tight and grind a flat spot on the axle for the stop bolt or they will rotate up. The fix for the tail I built a ski for that and it works good.

Reciever just behind the wing tube and the battery between the tube and the tank. I added some to the tail also.
The tank will come out pretty easy as the foam lets the front of the tank drop down...

I used the 10 oz soft tank in mine and left the tank shelf out. Glued foam to the top and bottom of the tank compartment and the tank slides between the foam. I used fiberglass reinforced tape and...

I bought the Dubro skies and they work good for me. Had them on a Tiger 2 and a Somethin extra. Once installed takes about 10 minutes to change.

Looked for cowls when I built mine and decided to build one from bulsa. Looks kind of square but was not too experienced on covering yet so kept it simple.

Only added about 5/8 inch to the end but if you look close you can see what I did. The extra 5/8 was scrap from the kit so thickness would match. Added about 1 inch to back of rudder and used 4-40...

G 51 SLEEVE REMOVAL

Side mount engine gets you one other thing. It keeps most of the oil on the bottom of the plane instead of on the wing and down the side of the plane. Also sheeted the deck for a smooth look.

Dont think you need to add any to the trailing edge of the elevators. Adding to the ends and counter balancing was more than enough.
