What length servo arms is everyone using for the control surfaces.
1.25 or 1.5 ??
Also, is there a place to download the 50cc sukhoi manual ? Something to read and plan around as I save my pennies to order.

Agreed, lots of info. But no one really sais what length servo arms they are using, except a few.
Just trying to get a general feel of what most are doing.

I hardly can't wait to maiden mine. Hopefully it will happen coming weekend. I should have two to maiden. The big 35% and the 50cc. Just waiting to receive my replacment hall sensor from CH-Ignition.

I noticed with the 3mm-53, some are using 1 inch stand offs and others 1-1/4.
What is the measurement from the firewall to the front of the cowl.
I have an MT-57 and I think the stock standoffs might be a bit too long.
Thanks

RE: 50cc Sukhette Build Thread, now in progress!!
Thanks guys for the kind words-
One question for roboto, since I read it in another thread, but it seems more relevant here on this one-
you mentioned that you had added a washer to give more right and down thrust- was this after initial flights? I notice a fair amount of right thrust is evident in the cowl to prop distances from left to right, and I understand that this really means "squat" due to the fact that the cowl may, or may not be square to the airframe and so forth. However I recognized on uplines it seems to still pull to the left- up/down thrust seems neutral with throttle changes, (it doesn't balloon when you chop the throttle, and I like this!) and I will be moving the C/G back quite a bit to get it a touch more neutral inverted.
I fly just for fun, and do not compete in IMAC, and really haven't the desire to- I would however like to set it up properly- just curious if you noticed the same thing, and how much shimming it took you to correct it- I realize also, that every airframe will have it's own "need" for more or less, just looking for some sort of starting point... Thanks in advance! KM

RE: 50cc Sukhette Build Thread, now in progress!!
I noticed mine the same thing with mine and also when I first maiden mine she would ballon on landing and if I gave her throttle she would climb pretty good so I added washers for a little down and right she tamed down a bit. And I was checking my CG seemed right on. But the washers helped a bunch with the balloning still have a ever so slight pull to the right up my up line but it is only 2 clicks so left it alone she flys great now maybe need to move the CG back just a little as she wing rocks a little on Harriers but then again I am a amatuer at the 3D stuff so it might be me LOL

Amateurs..... sounds like we're in the same boat- lol. yup!
I am gonna change a couple things, and I'll try washers under the left standoffs.. (pilots left) Then I'll report back. * crosses fingers*

RE: 50cc Sukhette Build Thread, now in progress!!
Hi Everyone, good to see lots of people still flying new Sukhoi's?? hey exciter is that you big plane behind??
A question to anybody, I have a JR9xv2 radio with the specktrum 2.4 module fitted, I have a 9 channel specktrum reciever with an extra satellite reciever attached. recently I replaced my JR8411 servos in the aileronas and the elevators as they wore out and had a lot of movement in them. I replaced these with Hitec equivilents, at first the ailerons change was good and flights where as predictable as before, then I changed the elevator servos, well it started to glitch in flight, flying straight and level it would do a small duck dive and then fly on ok. Very scary, there is really no one to talk this through with up here, so any imput would be really helpful. Do you have to rebind the reciever after you change servos?????? or should I just buy a new reciever and be done with it, oh yeah I have a data logger on this plane and it showed no fads, no holds and very very little of anything else, so this leads me to think that it is not the reciever.
HELP

Geez- I would think it would have to be something with the servos, as they were the only thing you changed- and given the information you posted, it would be further limited to the elevator servos- Since you recorded no fades or frame losses, I wouldn't bother replacing the receiver, as it seems to be operating properly.
When you replaced the servos, did you replace the servo extensions as well? they could be generating noise.. ???? I would definitely start with the things you've changed- You can always revert back to your "last known good setup" and replace things once at a time, but I think it likens itself to russian roulette.
BTW, The big plane behind me in the pic is my friends- it's a Comp-arf 100cc Yak in the "fantasy" scheme.
lol, I don't have those kinds of funds.... He mentioned to someone out at the field last weekend that he had around $6800 in it- NO THANKS for me!![:-]
