I've got both the showtime and the harrier. I still have fun with the harrier. The harrier has a saito 91 and the showtime a Saito 100. The harrier is still alot of fun and has great stability in high alpha mode. The showtime absolutly blows the harrier away in flat spins torque rolling and KE (and I havent started playing with the sfg's yet). The YS 110 would be a great choice to add power for the oops factor

Been flying the Showtime quite a bit. It is just a riot to fly. It can be very precise or really tear holes in the sky. And it's easy to fly. Really like the plane. Thanks

I've run a 15x6 and a 16x4.......and the ground I found no change in RPM. I was turning them both around 9200. In the air the 16x4 unloads more.......but in the end I like the 15x6 better......it seems to pull harder in general....and the verticles are better with it. I'm switching to 30% nitro this weekend....so we'll see if I still like it then......lol

Simon here,
I have a dilema.....I have my showtime ready to be built.
Now, I have a brand new moki 135 sitting here doing nothing so do I......or do I buy something a little smaller, can't really afford a 4 stroke at the mo.
Is the Moki too big?
Any thoughts?

They feel pretty identical. I actually like the 15x6 better.....a friends of mine who flies his 35% Carden almost exclusively twiddled the sticks and said it felt real close to his carden on pullout. I think once I go to 30% it will improve even more.

colinM. I think Not24 has a OS160 on his. He has a video of it somewhere on this thread. Man!!! It's pretty cool how quick it goes vertical. But you would have to do some serious throttle management. But I think it would be a pretty cool plane. Thanks,

wow I read through alot of this thread and the Showtime sounds like it is way better than the Funtana! I Need a new home for my Saito 100 and I think I will scrap The F90 for this plane!!
After I save some money I shall go all out, I mean all out, I think we should vote on who has the best Showtime, after I am done of course, ha ha just looking foreward too it!
Showtime:
Saito 100
Li-ion and regulator from (Troy Built Models)
5625's on elevators and ailerons
5645 on rudder with Kevlar cable from TBM
Carbon fiber pushrods everywhere from Chief
Carbon fiber wingtube
Cactus aviation Controle horns
Carbon fiber spinner for looks (Pete Model) and a 16x4 on 30%nitro(engine runs soo much better with it)
Clevises from TBM, a little easier than a ball link and I think just a little lighter, by a nano ounce I used them on my 30% Yak, awsome
This sounds like one awsome plane!!!!!!! I want to post some pictures of the stuff I mentioned, Maybe I should just get a ys,110 if I am gonna use all that!

I agree with that statement. Since I don't do alot of hovering...I don't mind flying it with the 100 as much. Hovers and waterfalls are the only thing that I've found it has diffuculty doing with the 100.

After doing some investigating & a little research in the radio forum, I'm thinking my problems may have originated with the reciever. I looked the Showtime over pretty closely tonight & found the only damage is to the horizontal stabilizers & the landing gear block as I first saw. I powered up the reciever and the surfaces all started glitching right there on the bench. I decided to look in the radio support forum (why didn't I think of that before?) and found that Several People are experiencing glitching even to the point of flutter with the Polk Seeker II reciever. Several of them even had decent range checks and a few flights on their plane before the problem ocurred.
I am not convinced but I do feel this needs looking into further. The damage really isn't that serious so I am gonna patch it up & give it another try later this week. Something is telling me this is where my problem lies. What I percieved as flutter may have just been severe glitching, which combined with the high winds I was flying in may have made the plane uncontrollable. If that turns out to be the case I'm going to feel relieved & foolish that I didn't check this out further before putting an unknown reciever in a brand new plane. I probably should have tried that combo in an old beater first.

A Father/Son combo in our club that flies big gasser always test their new receiver on a beater airplane first, then move it to their expensive gasser. I think it's a good way to go.

Hands down the best 3D prop on my saito is the APC 16X4 Wide. Run 30% heli fuel. The power difference is night and day. Though you'll spend some time cleaning off oil if you like to hover alot.

I am using (trying to anyway) an inverted OS91FX. I got a Bisson inverted muffler. The muffler will not clear the motor mount. The stock motor mount arms are quite thick. Anybody else using an inverted 2-stroke? How did you set up your exhaust. I don't want to use a pipe. Thanks.
