sorry to hear about your mother Barry, it is a difficult time and our prayers are with you, i lost my mom to cancer in 82 and know your sorrow!
now Ron, for that engine mount on the upside down mount so you can raise the carb, ive been thinking and wont that raise the thrustline on the shaft and make it impossible to mount a cowl(if you want one)?? just thinking again[&:]
antennaman, that zinger 14x6 will work fine and you may just like it, just watch your speed on the downline or you may over-rev the 91 and injure your cam lobes
the plus about the zinger props are they are lighter than the composites.

Hey Gary...... That's what I thought when I install the mount right side up, and was trying
to install the S 82 inverted on the top of the mount and could not figure out why the carb.
was hitting the inside of one of the mounting lugs, but also noticed that the carb. and the
firewall/tank outlet was a lot closer than I remembered on the 100... So I reinstalled the
mount inverted and taped the engine on then I marked the carb center on the firewall, I
also put the cowl on with the engine/F.W. at 5" and all fit great as it should.(man I did not
realize how much taller the S 100 was verses the S 82, which just fits complete in the
cowl with no problem.. Anyway I took all apart and reinstalled the mount upright in the
fuse using the mount's "tick" marks/F. W. marks and installed the 82 inverted on top of
the mount and checked my previous carb mark on the F.W. and it was about 1/2" higher,
so I figured the shalf/cowl would be off.. But when I slipped the cowl on it fit like a charm.
So I shaved the inner mounting lug about a 16th and the carb slips right in there now and
the cowl also?????.... Seem like something should be different??? But as I said it works...
I still may be missing something, But as I said I taped all on both ways and all matched up,
and I can't see how my marks lied to me:-)) But I do have senior moments, But thats the
way I'm going with it either way:-) I'm going to install everything pants included.. Just to
see how it acts :-) Here's some pics....

Barry Sorry about your loss. Lost my mother 2001 and there is not a day that goes by when memories don't come to mind. So many good ones.
To All: Taking my Saito 80 out and putting new 82 Saito in. Problem is that carb offset is different on 82. When I turn the carb around it is off center with the arm inside the cyl. housing. Doesn't look like linkage will fit. Am I going to have to reroute throttle to other side or has someone have a trick set-up?[
]
Weather has finally broke here in Ohio and forcast for Sunday looks great.

BARRY - Sorry to hear about your mother. I lost mine 4 years ago this coming June, and like Doug said " there is not a day that goes by when memories don't come to mind" I'm sure they will be good ones.
DOUGWILL- Will one of those flex cables work?

Many thanks to all who offered condolences for my Mom. This has been a difficult week but we are through it. My faith sustains me in times like this. I've often said that there are many things worse than dieing. Sometimes it's living. She had been frail and uncomfortable for about 2 months. It hurt to see her leave us but it hurt worse to see her stay. Family is good. It helps us remember that there are things more important than flying airplanes.
Thanks again for your thoughts and prayers. I really appreciate it.

Everybody...I just noticed on Tower Hobbies that they dropped the price on this airplane. The list price is now $139.00. With discounts you can get another $20 off of that. This plane just keeps getting better. Actually, they reduced the prices on all the UCDs. Giant = $329 60 = 169 and 46 = 139.
I order a Giant UCD yesterday. I'm not sure I really want a plane that big, but I just can't not have the complete collection of UCDs.
It should be fun.
Thanks
Barry

38...Will do. I should receive it on Thursday according to the UPS tracking number. It'll be fun to assemble this beauty and take a picture of all three.
I better do that before I fly any of the UCDs this spring.
Thanks

Hi Doug, I can't remember. But I'll look at it tonight when I go flying. I'm wondering though if a section of cable would work better. It would have a little more give.
Boy! I had a great time flying the Do yesterday. Man that was fun!! [X(] There was a couple of guys there with 60's and I'm stating to use my Do for inverted flying training. It's coming along good and fun learning it. [8D]

Doug, Rob has a point on a throttle cable, and the rods are 2-56..
I just put my throttle linkage in, I put a 10oz tank instead of the stock 8oz
atleast that's what came in my ARF.. So it was a bit tighter.. I bent the rod
like a "Z" bend to go along the side then down and under the tank then to
the carb... But being how much tighter it is now with the bigger tank, I went
ahead and got a cable... A lot eaiser and slides smooth... The rod will work
great tho just a bit of bending..
Barry... Just 2".... :-) Hope the weather holds for ya.... I flew the Kat today
and my spad, still fighting a loading of the YS at extended low throttle
but
it was a bit better today.. At least I turned the L.S. the right way....
Ohh it was about 68, sunny with light winds... in the am.. :-)

We just got 2" of snow. [>:] But it's warm and melting. Saturday doesn't look too bad. Maybe I can fly again then.
Thanks

Rob Clement RC...2" doesn't even bother us. Just a nusiance. But it's all melted now and today doesn't look too bad for flying. Highs in the mid to upper 40s and winds in the 10-20 MPH range. Not good weather but, hey, it's all I got right now and no rain. I should be able to fly today. I'm going to give it a go anyways.
Hope everybodys flying today. Have a great one.
Thanks
Barry
