Yes, post some pics. My wife is starting a Spanish class a couple of nights for the next several weeks so I'll be starting on my new Do then. I thought I would post some pics of the build since the mods to this plane are buried way back in the pages of the thread.

Hey Rob... Hope you and Family had a great time!!!.. Now get to that "Do" Hope your Boss
does not read this, She might think it's her do list for you
Same here on the weather, It's been cooler
... But it has also been windy[:@].. I took the "Do"
out last Sat.... She's still vibrating alot, but all stayed together... Had the peanut gallory wooping it
up
after doing a few almost perfect invert flat spins, I still have yet to get mine to rise, but it
sat what seemed like foreever slowly pin spinning perfectly flat... As I came in for my landing, they
started saying "low invert pass" So I flipped her over and went down the runway at a couple feet
It was a great day......... Now just waiting for another, Bats have been charged forever now....
I still need to work on my tail wheel on the S.T. and have been messing with my SPAD trying to
squeeze a few tenths for my top end, some of the members are getting close[>:]...
And the member that gave us the material for the SPAD's told me He's building one to take care
of me[:'(].... Will see.........

Hi Ron, sounds like you've got all kinds of things going on. WoW! I usually have to pay to have a peanut gallery. LOL I got to fly the Do yesterday. I met with a friend and his wife and he brought a new Nikkon camera so maybe I'll get a picture to post.

Kewl on the pics Rob...
Well it was a good morning for awhile.. I took the Avistar, SPAD and the "Do"... Avistar
flew like a trainer, But I had the gallery yelling that trainers do not do that
... My SPAD
has me stumped, seems like all the changes has made it slower, or the other member is
getting faster[:@]... But still has a slight edge... For now[:'(]... The quest goes on
..
Put the "Do" together but the wind started coming up, so that ended the day.....

Oh! I hate it when the wind comes up and ya' can't fly anymore. Yuk! Sounds like you had some fun though.
Well, I started building the new Do. It sure is pretty and clean. This one's gonna be better than the last one. I thought I might post some pics of the changes as I make them of the build. Most of the upgrades are buried way back in the thread.

Thanks Kostas. I've got quite a bit of it done. I put all the hinges in last night and glued in the stab and fin. I also modified the holes for the wing bolt. I'll see if I can post some pics tonight. What is a good point for the CG?

Rclement...Yes, that's exactly what I use. I measure and mark with painter's tape a spot between 5 and 6 inches. Then I mark that tape in 1/4" increments. I use the CG machine and set it right in the middle and then balance from there. I then use the probs on the CG machine to double check myself. It really works good for me. I've used my machine a hundred times. I try to check every plane several times, even after initial flights.
Thanks
Barry

gjeffers...I'm at 4800'. But one field I've recently been flying at is 5200'.
Yes, you won't believe how much power you lose. You'll have to learn to fly all over again. And it's not just engine power it's thrust efficiency with the prop and lift. All of that adds up to about 30% loss in performance. That being said...If you watch your weight and put the right engines on you'll still have a blast.
Welcome back.
Thanks
Barry

Hey Gary... Glad you had a safe trip.... Moving huh.. So you'll be trucking gold
now?? Ahh.... What route...
Glad you had fun with the "Do"
I went to a funfly, I think it was about 3800' or so.... WoW... As Barry said.. It is
a Big difference not only power, but flight wise!! So much more so when your
just going for a day.... No matter what the guy's told me about it. [
]
Still waiting on the winds to die here... Looks good for the AM????? I cut out a
few holes in the covering each side of the wings and turtle back just looking for
my vib problems.... Nada[:@].... Did get a few bulsa chips in the ends of both ails..
saw where it came from and it was no problem.. Alls ready for the morning just
in case the forecast holds true
... I also got rid of a few ozs on the SPAD will
see in the AM...... I Hope
.... They will not catch me.. They will not catch me....
now?? Ahh.... What route...

Hey Guys, I got the Do done and spent so much trying to get it done to maiden it today that I didn't have time to post any pics. I will though. Not that big a deal, just some minor changes that I have wanted to do. Looking forward to a great maiden.......[8D]

Rclement...Good luck on the maiden. Been my experience that it will be easy. You will find an old friend.
But, it's always a bit anxious and fun.
Thanks

Rob.. shiny and new.... It'll be great!!
Well it was a great morning... The "Do" flew great... No change on my vibration[:@]
guess the S82 is shaking a bit..... Since I'm still a bit tail heavy even with the OZ+ in
the nose, Thinking of putting the hyde mount that was in the first "Do" with the YS63
and see if it helps the S82???/equipment.. But I just may let it go as I have with the
ant. wire.... Also went back to 15% nitro this AM.. I really did not notice much
difference "down" here......
Think my SPAD is about topped out..... It flat flies good.... Luckily it's "still" able to
fly, While I was checking it before today I found the elevator clevis stripped a bit
letting it slide on the rod...(Its soldered on now) No wonder the last time out, I had
to use all the up "trim" and still had to hold some up to fly level [X(].............
B Good People!!

Now I'm not sure what cap I meant.... I gotta think about it.... But both are nice...
But if you crashed always using that cap<there I go again... what do I mean... Heck
it can only get better???????
.... It looks better than mine... I have white sweat
stains..... Not sure where I'm getting all that heat to cause that???????????
AAhhhhh.... You need bigger tires for more prop clearance...???
