Roger,
I've been in the garage all morning and guess what, the FEDEX guy was here and left me a little tag saying he tried to deliver a package ( I guess I didn't hear the doorbell). I was getting ready for those 1 1/4" red standoffs. Either I go to the Fedex place after 6:00 tonight or I have to wait at the door from noon- 3:00 tomorrow. What do you think? Wait, no, Wait, no, Wait, no. I'll let you know what they look like when I get them on.

I put my intercom on lock to hear anything that goes on in the house and if the door bell rings, I can hear it in my shop though the intercom..worth to try...

YEP!!!! run it untill you feel the motor to loosen up some then go to a bigger prop. it might take a while for the moki to loosen up. but you will be pleased with the result's.

Roger,
The RCShowcase specs show that it's 5.3 inches. Here's the spec address. http://rcshowcase.com/html/engines/zdz50.html

Roger,
The book calls for 7" (or 178 mm) 0from prop washer to firewall. So I guess that would be 1.7" standoffs if the motor is 5.3 from prop washer to the back side of the mounting tabs, right? Hope this help you.

X300Pilot,
Yes, I did get a chance to put in one flight with Biela 22x10. It is a beautiful prop, made in Poland and factory balanced to perfection. I got many complements for that prop at the field. Granted my BME 50 has only had three tanks of gas through it, it seemed to work harder with the Biela prop. It turned 6,000 with the Biela and 6,850 with 22x8 Pro Zinger. It takes a little longer for the engine to spool out with Biela, but pulls very strongly. The prop weights 145 grams vs. Pro Zinger only 90 grams. The plane definitely flew faster with the Biela and breaking was very efficient when the throttle was cut with the characteristic 'woosh' sound of the fast air hitting the slowed-down prop. Landing was a little hot, but that would be true for any 10 pitch prop. Idle was lower and more stable on the Biela vs. Pro Zinger. Well, decide for yourselves.
If anybody wants it, I would be willing to part with my Biela (drilled to 7/16") as I am going to stay in the 8 pitch props for my plane/engine combo.

Check this link http://www.theworldmodels.com/extra300/extra300s.htm
Think about it. Why is there a 3000+ posts thread about the GP Patty? Because the only bad thing about it is there will probably be several at the airfield. The consensus is it flys great is well built and a great value.
World Models makes great ARF's but for 1/4 scale Extra's at $400 GP has a good thing going.

Well, I've used the 20X10 from new. Broke in with the 20X10 and still using the 20X10. The good news is the Pro Zinger was the worst performer of them all so you're now powering up as much as with, let's say a Menz S or an NX. So far, as of yesterday, 202 flights with my Moki... The NX, for the money is the best performing prop. How I measure performance is come across horizontally and pull to vertical. Once vertical, roll as many times as I can before it falls off. The NX takes my Patty 4 1/2 rolls, just about where you can't see it before it drops off. The Zinger would only do 1 1/2 rolls before it dropped off. So much for the Moki though, putting in a BME today and I'm putting my Moki in the box for another plane some day.

I tried this vertical test with BME 50 and I lost count of the number of rolls. I stopped rolling upon cutting the throttle when I could barely hear the motor and got scared that the air traffic controllers would pick me up on their radar (
).
