Im from San Antonio, now living in CA (Navy), my parents stay by Marbach/410, I graduated from John Jay HS(95). Ill be going back in may/june for my sisters graduation maybe lll get in touch and do some flying

That saito is going to be plenty, the instruction say to install engine side ways, I installed mine inverted for a cleaner look.
Im using an APC 16X4W plenty of thrust but no high speed, you should try a 14X4W.

The flying would be fun, let me know. You're using the 72? How about flaps? Do you like the plane? Any trouble flooding with the inverted engine? Thanks!

Im using an OS 91 pumped so I dont have any trouble whit flooding, I use max flaps and mix in ailerons down, I also have crow mix for a quiker sink rate, as you can see in the video it floats
.make sure you replace the fuel tank I used a round sullivan, and take a look at the tail gear set up.

The fuel tank stopper deos not make a good seal, I went to Hobby People and one fo the guys that work there said that his had the same problem, if you use the sullivan round 12oz you will need to dremmel the former that holds the fuel tank because the stock tank is oval.
I finally got my new tail gear, to install it you will need to remove the stock rudder control horn, the new tail set up has a double horn that fits around the leading edge of the rudder, if you made the hinge gap really tigth yo will need to re-hinge your rudder, also the new control horn is a little wider then the thickness fo the rudder so I cut the old plastic bracket that screws into the rudder and used it as spacer to fill the gap. it took me 10 min to change it out, it looks good

Does the stock tailwheel work ok? My cub came last night but I have a great planes cheroke I'm working on first. Looks great. Nice sized plane (cub).

Looks good guys, what is involved in the EP conversion, You said there is a different mount, have they included anything else like a way to get to the battery without pulling the wing off?

This is my setup. The instructions state to glue to firewall and the two formers. This leaves the back half unsupported. I added some square stock to widen the formers surface area and added a support for the back of the tray. The included motor mount was perfect for the Power 46 both on total length from the firewall and the installed blind nuts. I have not completed the inside yet but initial check looks like it will be a bit tail heavy with the 4 cell 3200mah and 3650mah lipo packs I am using. Priorities have put this on the back burner but all that is left is install the receiver and balance. As for the battery install I have left out the large windows and still can't get to the battery well enough to leave the wing on. Looking forward to better weather soon. Tis' the tornado season. Ahhh Spring time in Oklahoma. Hope this helps.

Ive got the OS 55 AX and I bought the plane yesterday. I think it should be fine since the os will turn 13 X 7 and its output is 1.75 Hp whereas magnum 61 gives 1.8 Hp.
Can somebody please tell me where I can get some scale details modifications for the plane ?

Well finally the maiden flight happened yesterday. Between the high winds and other things I haven't flown since January. Blade mcx doesn't count. It was 85 degrees 5 to 6 mph quartering breeze on a paved runway. I reread LCACING's original post and really can't add to it. This plane is a great flyer. I swear I was riding the heat of the runway. I made 6 flights before I even tried the flaps. As I said earlier in the thread I am running a E-Flite power 46 on 4cells. Plenty of power. I did have to add about three ounces of lead just behind the motor. I guess the ideal setup would be a 5cell 5000mah battery. Not so much for the extra cell just for adding useful weight rather than lead. If low and slow is your thing this is the right choice. Loops and barrel rolls are great. I still have to remove the wing to change batteries but I don't care. The payoff is worth it. I could go on and on but you get the idea. One thing on the stock tires. Paved runway plus cross wind equals shredded tires. I will be replacing them with larger rubber.Happy flying.

Why don`t you access the battery thru` the front window?

Are there any updates with this airplane? A neighbor of mine owns a full size supercub and asked me to find him a model. At first I thought of Balsa USA, but that is just too big for now. Is this the only super cub in this size range? There are numerous j3s but no supers. Will this airplane be good for a beginner pilot? I could teach him how to fly with a kadet senior. Also has anyone done any scale details to this plane.

I just purchased mine from the LHS and I'm putting an O.S. FS-70 on it. I have almost everything done except for cutting the cowling and finishing the hinges. This is a great kit. Everything fit just as it was suppose to. The only complaint I have is that my kit didnt come with a control linkage for the throttle. It came with links for everything else... Also, the kit was missing the two wheel collars that it called for to use both links for the elevator. Instead of going through the headache of waiting for new ones to get shipped I just went and bought these parts from the LHS. Anyone using this on a DX7? I guess im going to have to hook the flap control linkages up on both of the right sides of the flap servo's. Otherwise when I use the y-harness they will go in opposite directions. I looked in the DX7 manual but I could find anyway to plug both flap inputs into the AR7000 receiver. Anyone who has the 4 stroke 70 or 72... How does it pull the airplane? I hope it will be suffient!

Westly, I have the Super Cub as well and currently awaiting the batteries I ordered from Hobby King. I plan on using 2 -7.4v 2200mah batteries and a e-flite 60 esc. I am thinking seriously about leaving out the large window on each side since I can easily reach from the front and have both hands inside. My concern is the flying ability with those 2 windows out. I have a lot of time as a pilot in a real super cub which we flew with the entire door open with no problems. Any thoughts on this.
