OK..........Justin......nobody else here is heretical enough to say it but have you looked over at the SPAD forum? (Simple Plastic Airplane Design) A lot of these designs are highly aerobatic and can be built for $20-40 depending on what you have around your home. The planes are pretty crash resistant and don't require anymore tools to build (except for something to flash the Coroplast-I use a candle lighter! *LOL*) Here's what you'd need roughly:
1 or 2 yardsticks for wingspars=$3
depending on design an amount of Coroplast (available at your local sign shop)=$15
again, depending on design 10' length of RW-200 downspout from Genova Products (available at Do-It-Best, Lowes, and others-10' is enough for several planes)=$10
Smooth plastic cutting board (for motor mounts/firewalls)=$4
Check out www.spadtothebone.com.....they have a whole bunch of free plans that should get you going right enough!

I don't mean to offend anyone by this post but, if you would like something I got please post what it is you need and if I got it I will get in touch with you. Like I said I don't have much but sometimes the little stuff is just as unobtainable as the big stuff.
Merry Christmas to Everyone!
Thanks~Justin

Hey Paul:
I got some Hitec 422's I could give you. They have the Hitec ends but they can be easily put in a Futaba reciever. They are a little old but they worked fine. If you need them they are yours. Have the switch and 600 mah battery as well. Just PM me and lemme know. They came from an old Aristocraft radio I do not use anymore.

PS: If you can find the charger I could even send the other goodies if you need them.

I am absolutely floored by this from RCU to the point I cannot think of anything right now to suggest

Ok, For those of you who know about the "pay it forward" thread, its a thread where we share the generosity that has been shown to us by giving our excess to those in need in some way.
Well I put a request out for a used real flight setup for a friend/fellow rc pilot who was in a motorcycle accident and rendered paralyzed totally from the waist down,, and partially from the neck to waist with a little mobility in his arms and hands,,,, and someone quickly responded...
Yesterday I received the package, a complete realfight G2 setup with USB controller in the box with all the instructions and everything, just like new. This morning I loaded it on my PC and tried it out, this afternoon I delivered it to my friend and we installed it on his PC, loaded on the 1st try and we were running in less than 5 minutes.
We got him setup so that he could manage the controller from his wheelchair and lo behold he can still fly!! It cumbersome and he is going to have to try to figure out the best way to situate his hands but nonetheless he can still takeoff and fly reasonably well.
Its going to take some work to get him comfortable on the sticks because he has to use the fatty part of his hand just below the thumb, and his hands sortof get in the way of each other but none the less he was able to takeoff and make a few laps once he was able to get a decent hand position. He has some control of his hands but has no sense of touch or sensitivity to pain and we immediately saw that there will be a challenge to watch his hands and make sure he doest wear the skin off because he cant feel how hard he is pudhing against the sticks. He basically sets his hands on the sticks and moves them with his forearms. He may get some isotoner gloves and just cut the fingers out and tape up those pointy ends of his sticks.
Either way he is back in the air and can actually fly again, which was a pleasant surprise right off the bat. He wasnt sure if he could control the sticks at all. But he can,, well enough to fly around pretty handily. This should really help some to rehabilitate his hand eye coordination and he hopes things like this will eventually enable him to get back out there and not only fly, but be able to do his job as an electrical engineer again.
Again, Thank you so much John (blenderblender) for your generous contribution. You have made someone VERY happy.
Mike

I hate asking for anything, but i'm a new flyer myself and was wondering if somebody in the southwest oklahoma area would have a old radio and reciver or a few old servo's that work, that they would be willing to get rid of, i'm in the process of building a spad debuit and just can't afford to buy the electronics right now. I want to pay something for them, but I can't afford very much right now.

Hello everyone. I have a "need". I'm looking for a muffler and high speed needle valve for an older ST .60. It will go on my brothers spad that I built him for Christmas. But need these 2 items to complete it. The muffler bolt holes are 1.84" apart if that helps. Could just be a generic muffler.
Thanks and have a Merry Christmas everyone.........

It's working because of people like this man here, bubbagates. To make a long story short I suffer from a degenerative inner ear dysfunctionthat will put me out of the hobby in the next few years I'm told. When he heard of my plight Bill, along with his daughter Jennifer and his local hobby shop (Hidden Hangar R/C) collaborated to get me a nice little Norvel .074. Words tend to fail to express how much this means to me so I'll just say thank you all so much and leave it at that.

This has got to be one of the nicest thank you messages I have ever received.
I know I speak for the others when I say "You are very welcome"
