Yes, the Mach One is now ready, less canopy...
They will start shipping next week, (TM, Banshee, and Mach One) since I am out of town visiting daughters and granddaughters this weekend for Thanksgiving, and will be back at shop Wednesday.
Yes a .25 is overkill, but you know how people are. A .15 is as big as I would go, for weight reasons.
You all have a great Thanksgiving...

Is the Mach One available now? Perfect park flyer for (excuse me) electric when the Pres comes to town and they close all of the model fields.

I'm working on the canopy issues. I'm checking Park Flyer Plastics, and Wing Mfg for canopies that are real close. I'm sure Keith @ PFP will have something already for most of them, at least close enough.
Trouble Maker: no canopy needed.
Banshee: Built up will work as good as clear plastic, but will eventually have one made, using built up as a plug.
Curare: Very standard shape canopy, should be able to find a match easily. A small Extra canopy will be very close.
Mach One: Hardest to match with exiisting. Just checked the .60 sized Banshee and Mach One canopies next to each other, and a lengthened built up Banshee canopy would be very close, and eventually a clear made form that plug. I will work on a built up tonight.
A lot of the rest I will be doing aren't special shaped canopies, either bubble canopies or Extra=like canopies, both type are easy to match.
My take on it is to get a batch of kits to choose from, then worry about the canopies, since very few builders start a plane the day they get it. They get in line on the bench waiting to be built
, and the canopies aren't deal breaker in flight.
There will be a couple day delay getting the first batch sent out. I need to redo the part layouts to fit on 24" sheets of balsa, for shipping reasons. If I keep it to 24" sheets, the box can be shipped internationally using First Class International Mail which is a lot cheaper than using Priority International. That is a big concern, since I sell a lot of kits overseas, and with the lower priced kits, the shipping price makes a big difference.

Don,
I have a canopy from the old Model Tech Thunderbird that might work on the Mach One. Sparkie could mold up some off that or maybe do a touch of work to make a exact match off the mold.

They come pre-shaped in 2 outer beds. You glue on the sheeting, glue on the LE and TE wood, glue on the tips (laminate the 3 pieces first) and sand the LE, TE, and to shape. Then hinge the ailerons.
Actually no different than a built up wing once the sheeting is glued on.
There are a LOT of tutorials on foam wings on the web, and as many ways to do it as there are tutorials...
There are 2 very good links on my foam wing page, although MUCH more complex than these..
<a href="http://www.eurekaaircraft.com/foamwings/foamwingmain.htm">http://www.eurekaaircraft.com/foamwi...amwingmain.htm
</a>
I'm getting ready to do a set of Banshee wings, maybe this weekend, , so I will include pics of the process on the Baby Kits page.

Hello all,
I think that a baby Curare would a pretty cool little plane; however, I would be building it as an electric plane. Does any one have any idea of how much these planes will weight? 2lbs, 3 lbs?
Any information would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Teo

Drube:
The kits will come with no gear. You can go either no gear for flying off grass, or go tail dragger, or trike, retracts or fixed gear, whatever fits your flying needs, and how much weight (wing loading) you want to add.
Teo:
I added a picture to the web site showing a Trouble Maker fuse, sheeted wing, stab, fin, and dorsal fin on a scale. That is most of the fuse parts, and it comes to only 6.8 ounces. All will be similar weight, since the construction is the same for all of them. These will be light planes when done.

Hello Guys,
I think that I am sold then. I will go ahead and order the little Curare. I would probably go with a fixed gear since I fly off grass, but the idea of adding retracts has me intrigued. it would be such a cool little plane!
Thanks,
Teo

Yep, got the Blue Angel thanks to Jon W. It is near the top of the list. Sneaking a Phoenix in there along with the Nutcracker...

Hello all,
I ordered the baby Curare last Friday with the intent of converting it to electric. Heresy I know. At any rate, once I start working on the plane I will also start a build thread. I have only done sheeted foam wings once before so I will probably have a few questions along the way.

Ask away.... We are all here to help. Foam wings are not daunting at all to do, once you've done one set, it will be hard to go back to built up wings.
The next batch of baby kits will be going out this week. I am waiting on a big wood order, since the 3/32" wood I have isn't suitable for fuse sides on this small of plane. The order should be in Tuesday, or today if I'm lucky
Worked on the Phoenix and Nutcracker plans last night. Getting as much ready as possible before the wood order gets here. So many planes, so little time

I really like the Troublemaker. Can't tell from the pics but is it a tail dragger? I see there's an option for it.
