Looks like your training gear needs a retread

I use the vinyl tape one might have lying around from the odd ZAGI or two, instead of shrink sleeve for the blades I cover.
I tried Monokote, but the tape holds better.
On the handmade stuff, I use the tape for balance, not covering.

Hey Chris
I graguated to lipos finally and had my first
4 minute Hover yesterday. Seemed like a lot
longer than 4 minutes tho. I guess theres a
bunch of us that have enough parts to build
another bird.lol

Remember when, before you flew helis, when you asked the guy in the LHS "how long will it fly on that battery?"
(2250 mAh in a TRex)
And he says "seven or 8 minutes"
And you said, "Wow, is that all?"

My thumbs and brain both were tired and i'm
using the 800mAh. I set my timer for 10 minutes,
maybe someday i'll wish for longer flight times. lol.

Hi Fellas,
If you want alot of flight time, just buy a bunch of batteriers. See my collection.[:-]
You always want to set er down after ten minutes or so and give the motor a little time to cool off. Plus, you can then enjoy your favorite beverage, mine happens to be beer.[sm=75_75.gif]

I know it's after midnight, but just got home. Wanted to wish everybody a Merry Christmas anyway. Looking forward to the new year, catching up on the credit cards and starting to feed the habit again. I must confess though that it was well fed this weekend. Although I didn't get to fly, i picked up a new set of BH grips and links and of course a new nitro plane. Yes I know that's considered foul language on this thread, but how could I pass up an RTF for $150.

Haha. A new nitro plane for 150? Thats very good. I love flying both helis and planes. I like the speed and scale looks of planes, and also the challenges of taking off and landing. The helis are just plain fun. You can fly them anywhere almost anytime. I think its amazing that you can take off from a box tear up the sky with crazy 3d aerobatics and then land it right in that small box. I wouldnt trade either planes or helis for anything. I love flying both of them and i guess it makes you a better pilot when you can fly both fixed and rotary wing aircraft lol.

Bob,
I'll practice 3 or 4 times a night sometimes. Fly a little, check e-mail, fly a little check this forum, fly a little pay some bills. Fly a little and then charge em all. I've got 3 charges too. When charged, time for the zzzzzzzz's.[X(] It's all stuff I've got over the last year. Only had one battery go bad in a year, not bad.
Take care Bob,
Dave / Choppersrul

Bob,
Yea, 10 minutes of flight time for me is good. More than that, the old brain gets a fryin' anyway.
You mentioned, " I need weather here", Bob, you always have weather, it just may not be what you want.
Just being the smart guy, kiddin' ya know.
Weather here in Indianapolis sucks this time of year, cold, rainy, and the worst, windy. No snow yet.
Time for winter projects, tune up all the helis and re-organize all the stuff you have.[8D]
Take 'er easy,

Thats a reason i love florida. The whole year its good weather. I surf and fly the models during the summer and during the winter just mostly fly the models. Sometimes it gets a little windy, but most of the time is calm. Especially early in the mornings.

After flyn the BCP for 14 months the
Pro is quicker to respond and is oh
so Smooooth. It flew (hovered) right
out of the box. I did put on flat blades
and extra fly bar weights. It will need some
tweaking on the Prop. pot and maybe on
the swash linkage. ( not level from the factory)
Hows the new nitro plane ?

Question about the Blade CP. I just got a new JR7202 (wow its amazing) and for some reason it doesnt seem to work with the Blade CP? I put it on the same channel as the CP and the light on the reciever just flashes between red and green? Can I not use my 7202 with the blade CP? Is there something I need to set?
