I posted in the bobcat thread in extreme speed prop planes about getting two of the same landing gear for the Bobcat.
I called up Nitroplanes and they said they would send me both gear to be sure I got the right one.
This was at least 2 weeks ago. Nothing, no word.
I am sending a PM now maybe that will help.

I doubt it, they send out a few things and some people say hey there trying, there is no need for it in the first place and they will not improve, only time will tell and of course your order and i am sorry that they make you wait for so long to finish your plane as they are nice planes for the money but if you cannot finish it then it defetes the purpose.

NitroStaff1,
My new Swallow has a canopy painted in red trim, which looks nice. Only problem is fuel removes the paint. Now it's a gummy mess dribbling down the fuse.
I've tried to clean it and cover over with clear but I still have a mess on my hands.
Can you send me a canopy that will stand up to glow fuel?
Thanks.

Opjose,
It's rather hard to be decisive about just where the wing tips are with the wing design of the Swallow.
What point, in inches or mm from the forward beginning of the wing at the fuse, would you suggest?

UPDATE!
A package showed up today from Nitromodels....they not only sent me the landing gear I was missing but a brand new wheel mounted on it with two wheel collars.
The only thing they did not do for me is install it on the airplane....seems like pretty good service to me.[sm=thumbs_up.gif][sm=teeth_smile.gif]

If you hold the plane (with and with OUT the weights) by the wings sides, at which point does it balance?
Ideally around the "break" in the wing or foward... should be about right...

I`m really happy with the quality if these kits, but Nitro-Planes lets themselves down on the Customer Services side.

Opjose,
Thanks for the clearificaton. That seems about right to me also. I'll fly it as soon as weather permits, probably today, and let you know how it goes.
Second issue: The canopy is trimmed with red paint which is quickly disolved by glow fuel. I've tried to clean it and then repaint with clear coat, but the damage is already done. Any suggestions on how to get a new canopy?
Arthur

Fire off an e-mail to [email protected] and see about at least getting another canopy sent to you.
The replacement will probably have the same problem, but at least knowing this, you could seal it with a clear Krylon coat or six to prevent the paint from running.

Thanks for the info on the canopy paint. I've just dashed off a request to the address you gave. It's refreshing to hear someone say "yes, we screwed up" and offer a solution.
Also, I flew the Swallow today with only about an ounce of weight in the tail of the fuse. It was much more controllable, but still no where near easy to fly yet. I could not get enough "up" elevator, even starting with 1/4 inch of up the elevons at their neutral position (reflex). I must have taken out too much tail end weight, so I'll add two oz tomorrow and try again.
When I get this thing sorted out I'll let you know where the CG should be. Should you get any helpful feedback from others, please tell me so I don't crash this thing first.

Is there any way you can move your bettery back towards your tail, my midget mustang flies great but on the grass strip i had to move the battery behind the canopy to help to keep the tail down instead of adding weight, just a thought good luck, rollie

Rollie,
That's a good suggestion and yes, I've already done that. I hate weight too.
I'd really like to get this NitroModels plane sorted out. It's just the right size to carry inside my car, flies on a .50 size engine and looks really sharp on the ground or in the air.

For those who ordered from Raidentech, how long does it take for the UPS tracking to change from "billing information received" to "origin scan"?

Well I still have not had a reply dispite sending an email to their support address etc. I have now had my credit card refunded, however I find it quite bizzare that nobody has bothered to send me an explanation.I have now since ordered a Simprop Dornier 328 from a uk supplier who I discovered was now importing these kits.
Meanwhile my Nitro-planes Cri-Cri awaits its test flight once the uk climate allows!
I`m really happy with the quality if these kits, but Nitro-Planes lets themselves down on the Customer Services side.

They explained that Ups rejected the parcel upon collection as it was too large to send to uk.This is why the ordered appeared to have been processed and shipped. This is fair enough and I now understand. As previously mentioned my credit card was refunded automatically.
So all is well.

Steve, Christmas is really coming hard on us this year and I believe the OV10 bronco was an oversize item that was not able to ship by the post office. We tried to sneek it pass the post office but it got rejected at the processing plant [:'(] so basically we just refunded your credit card. However, we are working with a new courier for UK customers and probably by Spring of next year, we'll be able to ship oversize airplanes to Europe and Australia....when that day comes, u'll see a BIG ANNOUNCEMENT

As for the YAK, it was delayed a few days, so it may get here around the 19th...and basically I'll post a announcement on the day it comes in...

Hey Nitroplanes. I bought the little .15 size Cessna (blue and white). I am really impressed with the little plane. Enough in fact that I showed it to a flying friend of mine and he ordered a plane that same day!! I know that this is a little nit-pickey but I do have one problem with the plane. My decal sheet for it says Sessna not Cessna. Are you guys aware of this? If you are and have corrected the problem I would really appreciate the sheet with the properly spelled decals. It's a cool looking little plane that would look even better with the right decals!!! I have also ordered heli parts from Raidentech in the past and have never had a problem. Thanks for good planes at good prices!!! Steve.

I am very pleased with Nitro models to this point: however, last week I returned a plane, the Ultimate E. the little purple electric ultimate, via Us mail, 2 or 3 day service, and I think it should have gotten to Nitro by Friday at the lastest. could you let me know. And, as per our agreement, have you sent me another kit of the same plane with all the screws/parts that I had missing, and with a cowl that wasn't broken. Note that I also went through the instruction book and made at least two typewritten pages of changes I thought would help the modeler put this plane together, and added some other advice, such as putting all the parts for one area of the plane in one package, and parts for another piece of the plane in another package, etc. Roger Q.

Could you please help me out on something. Per your shipment e-mail last week I was to receive the plane today.(#yhst-17210252890263-12178) It did not show up so I went to check the tracking #'s that you have supplied and it shows the plane has not even been shipped yet ( only billing info received at UPS) Please let me know if there is an issue as this plane is a gift and is needed sooner than later.
Thank you
