I have a JetCat P-220Rxi in mine. These are actually around 230N thrust, there are a few Weston Park videos of me flying with CARFs own KT 260 version…there is hardly anything in the speed of the two models. I have also flown against JetCat P-250 versions, again straight flight nothing in it…they might have been out dragging me on long vertical climbs, but it was minimal.
Highest GPS speed I have seen on mine was just over 300mph and that was not a full on max speed test. Real world the Bolt and Ultra Flash can be into the 290-300mph range

Hi Dave,
290-300 mph means 480 km per hour. is it really so fast?

Yes, the model was designed for 500km/h with shape and ducting

Hello everyone,

I'm a little confused about the duct of the turbine. I use a JetCat 250 Pro S - do you have any experience with the temperature? Doesn't the turbine get too hot in the confined space?

when the turbine is properly spaced fore/aft, you end up having optimal airflow through and around the outside of the turbine. You will not have heat issues. I have a P250 and one and a K260 in another.. the bypass area is barely ever warm and that is only after shut down from the ambient heat .

I’ve the same engine in mine, no issues. For peace of mind, I added some BVM Heat Shield Paint inside aft section of the duct. Necessary? I don’t know.

No, ducting is properly designed. Temps should not be a problem

I’ve put in an order for a Bolt in the Victory scheme. The manual calls for 20mm servos for most of the flight controls and 20/21mm for the flaps and rudder. Will 21mm servos fit all the way around? Looking to run spektrum A6350’s and are 21mm in width.

thanks!!

I used mks5l hbl599 all around and omg servos for gear doors. All servo pockets are easy to reach and widen except the flaps. Still reachable though.

The front door must be a mini servo.

I don't think I widened anything though.

I should have sold you mine. I'll never fly it.

Thanks for the info. Looking at pics, the stab servos look like they could be a tight fit. But I haven’t seen it in person so tough to tell.

No problem on 21mm in the stab. Nose door is a 15mm wide MIDI. At least 10kg torque

Would it fly well with Swiwin 240B or KT260 better?

Either would be fine. JetCat 220 is 230N and flying against 250 and 260 N powered examples speed is almost the same, only vertical long lines the 260 will out drag it a few feet.

I just received my bolt with the new space scheme. The carbon frame is awesome, will start my build once I receive the servos , tank and pipe!

The position of the plug was cut through both layers, then the nose installed. Separating the two layers allowed the tape to stick to the nose and once removed the exact position of the socket was cut...lined up first time 🙂

Hi, does the servo plug give you any trouble over time, would you recommend to install the same plug or just manually insert the servo cable to fuselage?

I have mounted a MULTIPLEX plug on the nose, socket on the fuse, same location as the yellow AMASS plug shown. This gives me possibilities for a beacon light on on top just behind where the clear canopy glass ends. Just slide on the nose to the fuse, works great 👍

Plug has worked perfectly over hundreds of cycles. As long as you mount it securely you won’t have an issue. This is a Powerbox One4One lead

Thanks. How much flaps needed, do we need to go beyond value recommended by manual 50-60 deg (110-115cm)?

No, it’s perfect at 115

The electron nose gear came with 100deg trunion so the struct is pointing backward, is this a mistake should I be using gear with 90 deg trunion Instead?

You need to look at the thread and get the two wedges out to mount the nose unit….

Finally got my bolt in the air, loved the way it tracks and speed! Has anyone installed lights and afterburner to your bolt, can you share pictures if available?
