Default Artes Jet Customer Service ---problem resolved---

Any one else experiencing this? I have my own gripes (the most recent one, a smoke kit that Eric was supposed to send me several months ago that has yet to arrive without any updates as to why its taking so long), but I also know a gentleman here in AR that purchased a brand new Falcon that had a problem from day one. Eric Clapp asked him to return it and after a month it has not been returned fixed or replaced. Moreover, no one has called to let him know what is going on with it. What happened to the "7 Day Turnaround" that has been bragged about so much?? Also, emails are not being answered. I don't know about you guys but this is poor service. It's certainly not the "Second to None" service that they so proudly claim. That Falcon should have been immediately replaced with a new one similar to the replacement I personally got on my first Rhino (which only took about a week or so - last year I think the replacement was in the mail before I even sent the other one back).

This company has hung it's hat on SUPERIOR customer service and these things fall way short of that goal. It's like trying to sit on a stool with three legs. Take one of them away and the stool falls over. Well, service is one of the Artes Jet Gulf Coast legs and without it the company will continue to lose buisness.

As it stands with me right now. I doubt I will purchase another one unless some REAL changes are made. He already lost my buiness on the last 20 lb turbine I bought a few weeks ago.

Andy, did you buy a brand new turbine in the past couple of weeks?

When you called Eric today and asked him, told him your complaints, what was the response?

Yes I did purchase a new turbine a couple of weeks ago. It was purchased from Jetcat. If your really interested you are welcome to talk to Bob Wilcox about it. lol.

I didn't call again today because I have already called on numerous previous occasions. I'm tired of calling. He should call me to let me know when its shipping. This has been going on since the first of the year. It's getting quite rediculous. And based on my friends experience with the FALCON, it makes it highly unlikely that I will be using there product in the near future.

I only bring this up now because its not only affecting ME but its affecting a really nice guy that I made strong recommendations to regarding Jet Central Turbines. Now I have egg on my face and it's not very pleasant.

My guess is as the sales of the turbines increases ,the service requirements increase, but the service department may not be growing.I had to send a turbine in for service last fall,(had three cycles on it).It took 4-6 weeks to get back.Definently slower than I expected ,considering all the hype of speedy service. If sales continue to increase and service does not,it will get worse.I still do not consider this bad service, but not as speedy as they have been known for in the past.

Eric might have been at a jet rally, meeting, lanch give him some more time. He will make it right ,now that you posted here

i highly doubt any meeting has taken 'Several Months' and it really shouldn't take a public posting to get the service you paid for.

when i was looking for a new 14# class turbine i called Artes Gulf Coast and got the machine that he was in Mexico so i shot an email asking a few questions about the Super Bee and i got quiet a few back and forth replies within an hour or so, this was just a few months back, i was impressed with the prompt responses but i decided to stick with the tried and true (and purple) instead.

Gee Andy,

Been hitting the bottle a bit too hard or are you doing your best to make something out to be much worse than it really is. If your friend is having issues with Eric, have him gripe about it. Posting 2nd and 3rd hand information as a way to push a point you may have pretty much takes the wind out of your sails...most people would discount a great deal of your post when you start dumping hear say into the argument.

I seem to be able to talk to Eric almost every day so why you are not able to get through to him is a mystery..maybe check the number. I have four Jet Central turbines (2 Super Bees, a Super Eagle and a Rhino) and have had nothing but top notch service when needed. As a matter of fact...I had a turbine replaced OVERNIGHT last year at Super Jets South when my Eagle spit a blade in flight. To get me back in the air...Eric called the factory and they overnighted me a new engine just so I could continue to fly my F-15...now that's service.

Littlepiston...the reason your posts usually get removed I would bet is because all you ever do is post harsh negative things about Eric and Jet Central. Do you even own a Jet Central engine?

Bevar, *** do you think you are to make such comments? Have we met? You are making some really broad assumptions here. Being the person who was impacted by the problems that I posted, I think I am the best person to determine how "worse" a situation really is. It is my money that was impacted NOT yours. You have no beef here to make your broad assumptions so I would suggest that you find out some facts before making them.

Regarding my friend, he doesn't even have a RCU account and has never posted on RCU as far as I know. He is new to the hobby and I was one of the ones who personally recommended Jet Central Turbines to him. As a result, I feel quite responsible for helping him resolve his situation. Eric has now contacted him and he has located his turbine (today) which was apparently being held up in customs. I believe that he will now get his turbine back by the end of next week.

I seem to be able to talk to Eric almost every day so why you are not able to get through to him is a mystery..maybe check the number. I have four Jet Central turbines (2 Super Bees, a Super Eagle and a Rhino) and have had nothing but top notch service when needed. To get me back in the air...Eric called the factory and they overnighted me a new engine just so I could continue to fly my F-15...now that's service.
Apparently you are incapable of understanding simple english. like I stated, I had ALREADY called Eric on several occasions to discuss this issue. The issue was over 6 months old. What would another call accomplish?? Should I have called to threatened Eric that I would post this on RCU if he didn't send the merchandise? No, that would be rediculous. I took it to the forums so that he would take the issue more seriously than he had been over the past months.

Bottom line, how ever you want to look at it, the issue is resolved now because Eric sent me the tracking number showing that he sent the kit today. (Now that is the customer service we are all used to!) Thank you Eric for finally sending it.

Lastly, the topic was that customer service was slipping. Not that Artes Jet Customer service is terrible - Slipping.. Everyone can improve on their business tactics. Mine, yours anyones. No one can claim to have a perfect record when it comes to dealing with customers. Just because you had good service last year doesn't prove anything. I too have had service to that level that you speak of at the rally. What we are talking about is RECENT events not the service you had last year.

At any rate, I belive the whole topic is a moot point right now as Eric has stepped up to the plate and shipped me my merchandise that I paid for and taken care of my friend who was out a Turbine for over 4 weeks. I hope that I will never have to make a post like this again because I really like Eric and 9 times out of 10 he does a great job.

Andy

It amazes me how many times you see a post such as this and then that very same day the item in question becomes 'IN STOCK' and ships.

lol, you know, I was thinking about that the other day and remembered last time I made that mistake. I just forgot to change it with all of the RCU Forum problems being down and such.
