Sorry Jackedman...Im really not sure. I have a savage ss and looking at them I dont think you can do it, what I mean is the I dont think they will fit at all. I just have the MT2 versions on mine and I did the shock mod with the fuel hose and its magic. I could in theory take a big hit and the suspension would'nt bottom out. But I have changed my shock oil, the piston holes, springs aswell. Remeber though, this truck can take big hits but its not a Savage lol. There is only so much modding you can do before you take away from what the truck is. if you put a BB in there you also have to re-adjust the oil and shock set-up anyway as the BB is heavier. try the BB and then the shock set-up first folowed by the fuelhose mod and then go from there mate.
But 46u is right in that way, some small blocks may have similar power (the new EB mod 18TM is a killer engine) - definitly not the same though, My hyper would rip through a an 18TM like a weedwacker through butter; but the torque is totally different. When you change the gear ratio - which you should also do to bring the power down to more controlable track conditions; your torque is great.
Yeah GPM is not that its bad, its just that its not billet alum so they are weaker inferior parts with a High price tage.
Look through this thread though as both myself and many others have put links in already about where to buy the good parts from. If you still cant find them then ill try to go through my data bank and give oyu some links.
In terms of engines...stay with a .21 size engine...anything more is just a waist. The Mr Ninja .21 is a GREAT engine and Mugen seki race those little beasts with race results to back them up trackside onthe 1/8th circuit. Cheaper would be the Hyper .21. There are others. Dont go the OS rg .21 engine as a TM18 would kill that power wise.

In terms of jacking up the hight...you can do other mods cheaper than getting the Savage parts and trying to mod them. Taller shocks, and some dremeling here and there. But go with teh engine first and then see how you go.

Sorry son but this is not 46U bro...this is SIM2U.
The length on the fuel line depends on where your travel on the shocks bottoms out and also how much damping you want...its a personal preference. But look at my gallery and see how much I have done. With this, mine has roughly a half or more of about a cm before it bottoms out...but it never does and works great.
You can also put the fuel hose perpendicular to a pare of pliyers and then let about a half mm or a mm stick out, then make a very small 1mm width "V" groove on both ends and then repeat this on the other side maing them spiral down about half way of the length...this will allow the first half of the fuel hose to bundle up easier thereby making the damping less aggressive but still maintaining the bottom-out feature so its all right over smaller jumps without the harsh spike of the non-hole fuel hose mod.
have a go and se what you think.
But bro...its SIM2U. 46U is the more handsom fellow...

sorry. i thought 46u posted that.
i understand what your saying about the v thing and all.
thanks. i`m going to play with my shocks tonite.
i bottom out on the smallest of bumps and i got the stiffest
springs on with the biggest c clips things too.
should i change to a heavyer shock oil too???
i would like to have a more stiffer ride.
thanks.

I have a brand new revo 3.3 engine if you want it real cheap...it has been run in and it has had about 2 tanks through it after run in...its a very sweet engine, its just that my .26 picco is sweeter with more torque.
Anyway, if not thats cool of course.
But I have a slew of other MT2 parts that I am willing to give away for free to help any noobies of the tight budgited nitro.nifter.

Also i may have to sell all my RC soon - except the revo; as i have some major moving coming along and my missus has strictly laid down the law...ONLY 1 RC car. So no debates there, I chose the Revo over all my other beauties, that will never be sold.
So I also have to say goodbye to my most excellent and well Modded MT2...my new Hyper8, Savage SS, Pitts special plane, the race speced MT2, my new park flyer and a bunch of engine parts and other crap that goes with over 11 years or so RC buildup...gosh, maybe more than 11 years, man I have totally forgotten. Oh well, bye bye to all of this. Just PM me if your interested.

Here is a picture of the MT arms with a Savage arm. I am sure it could be done but not very easy. All so keep in mind the higher the vehicle the easier it will roll over.

Hey guys quick qustion. I really like the Jato 3.3 wheels/tires...
The rear's are a hex setup. Do they have the correct offset to just get 2 sets of rears? They look sweet for onroad and I can save the stockers for when the pavement ends....

I cannot answer your question but I have read where the stock Jato tires do not last very long at all. Maybe this has changed but you might want to check..

Sure, although dont forget that the wheel shaft has a larger diameter with a larger wheel with a different offset. If you changed those parts you have to change many other things. Not to say thats inpossible but it would nto really be worth it and it would be cheaper and easier just to buy a second hand Savage and change the motor....?

Hey All.
Just checking in.
Got the alum hubs and put one on (one of the pastic ones had the screw stripped out...again. Hence buying the set of new alum ones). Only put one on as only needed one right now (sure the other plastic one will break as soon as I land on that corner or barley hit something). Kinda looks funny with one, nice, purple billet hub and the other plastic. Nicely engineered part there. Can't belive it's only $12?! I'm in the manufacturing industry and know that to CNC that part outta solid should cost a lot more than $12 bucks. They gotta make it for $10 to sell it for $12. Maybe make it up somehow in volume....somehow.
Anyhow, put the one on and ripped around the yard. Runs just the same as it did before, but now it wont break as easliy.
I can see how ya could sink a lot of $ into these little trucks. Aftermarket this that and everything.
Sure is fun to rip around tho.
Nothin else doing....jst surfing around.

hey coohead
yea i ordered those steering pieces too.
same thing happened to me after hitting a curb.
or should i say tapping a curb. i didn`t hit it all that hard
or so i thought.
i`m still running with the plastic ones after i hit the curb
i just ca glued the screw in and it holding for now.
i still like this truck. maybe more than my savage.
for one reason. its alot quicker.
