hob which engine mount are you talking about?
The T-15 should mount directly to the chassis.

i thought the g3.0 mount would just fit right in, i got it because i got a new racing clutch bell and wehen i mount my engine straight to chassis the clutch bell just rubs hard against the spur gear.

Are you able to compare the G3 to T3 for performance? I have one in my RS4 but its hard to compare between vehicles and I am too lazy to put the T3 in the MT2.

I dont think there is much difference performance wise. I think just the crankshaft is different?

I think there is a difference in where the power is. The T3 is in the RS4 and G3 in the drift - could it be about optimizing one and two speed trannies?

If you check the HPI website the specs are exactly the same. The difference seems to be in the shape of the block. The T3.0 looks like it would mount directly to the chassis where the G3.0 needs an engine mount.

I checked the manuals for the two engines and they use the same piston, conrod, sleeve, head (same part numbers). The only difference is the T3 has three head shims and the G3 two. It has a different block, crank and backplate and starter only. It looks to me like the idea was to keep things in line with the T-15 dimensions and mounting. I think the extra head shim helps at higher RPM but have to think more about this.

I decided to slowly build a really cool MT2 between now and the start of next season with aluminum and aftermarket in all the right places. I have a lot of RCs and am in to hurry so I plan on being efficient with auctions and good deals when things slow down in the winter. The current MT2 will be stripped of the cool stuff and replaced with stock and sold next spring.

I have a question about the GPM aluminum radio plate and how it works. It looks like at top plate so where does the battery mount?

From the pictures Ive seen people use a zip tie to hold the battery to the plate since there is no "box"

Are you using plastic hubs? Could they be worn and rubbing on the knuckle?

Im using plastic hubs, and nothing seems to be rubbing. It's just when i tighten the nut the wheel is stiff to spin freely
