If you can get the 3 shoe set up it will work better, and go for the aluminum shoes too

I dont think the 3.3 clutch setup will work for you man I tried putting a 3.3 flywheel on mine and it wasnt thick enough

seems like alu shoes are the way forward but it would appear the 3.3 is not a option

Im thinking about converting one of my MT2's to brushless. Some one on here did it.. Anyone remember who? I saw the bluegroove kit but its a bit pricey.
I found a link awhile back for a brushless MT2
[link=http://www.rc-monster.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5097&highlight=hpi+nitro+mt2]brushless mt2[/link]
Personally I'm going to try and convert my spare MT1 to a brushed motor in the next week or so (just waiting for a airplane motor mount to come in) seeing i have a spare ESC and a few motors laying around from my Brama 10b.

I will post side-by side photos when I get the camera out next.
I have an MT2 roller to sell but am considering putting an engine in it. Is anyone here interested in selling a used G3 or something that will fit in the stock G3 mount?

If you are sticking with the two shoe setup then just pick out a set of aluminum shoes. Im using my old savage composite shoes on my tz. I havent had a chance to put the aluminum in yet.

Dont they all look like half moons? I would go with these ones man as long as your pilot nut has a groove in it for the clutch springs to seat into http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXKSC6&P=7

Hey what do you guys think about fuel filters? The guys at my lhs say that there no good because they affect your tuning really bad but I think that as long as you richen up the hsn there ok. Do you guys use them? I think my half tank lean went away after I put one on my mt2.

Eminent I running the composite shoes right now but they are just like those aluminum's you listed.
The half tank lean problem on the savage is because the tank hangs below the carb. If you pust a longer length of fuel tubing from the tank, out the rear shock tower and then back in to the carb it helps a little. Make sure you tune the truck with half. If you tune it at a full tank when it hits half tank its going to run lean.
The updated larger G3.0 tank is larger

and I think the shape has something to do with the half tank lean issues.
e30nate if you get this tank it almost fits right in with really minor mods lots of guys have used it in there mt2 I had in in mine till I took it out today to test it out in the savage http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXABE9&P=7

I have the half tank lean problem on my savage and have researched it a lot. There are a lot of opinions but most of it is a contradiction - longer lines, shorter lines, add filters, remove filters, mid tank, tank too high, tank too low, add a dip tube to the pressure line, tank shape...... The change in 'diameter' at mid tank is another contributor and people say to put in a tank that is a single rectangle in shape but then you lose capacity. I think its a combination of tank shape and the proximity to the carburetor that are the most important factors.
I just bought a mid tank savage but likely won't have it out this season and its a winter project. The weather has been too crappy to drive.

Hi guys,
Here's mine. It's a 18SS I bought secondhand about 4 years ago. I could never get it to run right. About 6 months ago i decided to get it running again.
This is the result:

I got 2 different tires on there because i only got 2 Bow Tie's instead of the 4 i ordered......
The rest of the garage, gonna add a Losi Speed-T at the end of the week.

holy crap is that sucker is clean and spotless.
My electric Brama 10b isn't even that clean and its only been ran 2X
only 1 question why are the tires different on each side?
