avrod, look [link=http://www.customairframes.com/caaforum/showthread.php?t=93]here[/link] for pretty much everything you need to know to be successful at it.
Yeah Bill, it's been a crazy morning, just got a little wierder....Queenie's my space page...guess who one of her "friends" links is? Forest busbee, the 17 year old they nailed with the gun in the bathroom. had a look for myself....what a whack job. Watchin the Queenie a little closer, although she's just not that type. What he heck she's doing associating with that yoyo is beyond me. kids....
News isn't telling the whole story either. Melissa went off on the school (oh yeah you couldn't see THAT coming LOL) because they kept lying to her, and threatened to lock Queenie up for texting Melissa to let her know she was ok..... It gets better...the cops knew about it last night. let the kids go to school like normal ANYWAY....WITH the guns....and busted them there. That Forest kid was busted in the bathroom trying to hide a handgun in the cieling tile....or retriving it, they aren't sure, but more than likely retrieving as most of the kids say word is he hid that one there yesterday.....
*sigh*
WHEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!! What a freakin world. Anyway just POd and stressed a bit. back to VF3s.....

Yep,..sounds like the normal sting operation,..place, time, the perps and lock down of information. It sucks, but with the justice system now, their are "way" to many loop holes to exploit in regards to motive and intent. Law enforcement,..state or federal, etc have to put people in harms way, including themselves even to get the desired affect for prosecution (horrible). Years ago that would have been done on the down low and the American people would have known nothing about it,....now its' called awareness.
The incident is outrageous and those boyzs have no idea how they just screwed up their lives and their parents lives and other guilty by association. Just gland no one was hurt and your family is safe!
I'm done,..PM to continue,..stealing the post here,..Opps!
Greensea contest,..March 29-30th
Regards,
Bill

Now I know why Wingo isn't answering his email about when his contest will be held; too busy sniffing paint fumes!! Looks good. I think his name is so large on the canopy that the judges will have no doubt who is flying even at 250 meters!! Just kidding...!
So when IS your contest??!!

Man that is the coolest RED I have yet seen. Pictures don't do it justice. Think french *****house lipstick red. Then 5 shades redder than that. That stuff glows even in overcast skies!
Yeah, we're gonna be able to read that name over the poles! LOL
Jon, I'm not sure but I THINK Mike isn't having the Birmingham one either. Don't quote me as it's not my deal, but that was the last info I had was it probably won't happen this year.
And with mine and Mike's out of the loop, that leaves a fairly large hole between Ocala and Andersonville, but Larry's in April should be a good one. More time to practice, I think we probably all need it! I'm working out the details with larry this weekend and firming it up, so we'll post the details about it next week I suppose.

Edit: man check out all the censor filters on me....I must be having a potty-mouth day? Well, it's been that kinda day...

Ok enough on the size of the name, just wait till I finish. As for the contest dates, I am looking sometime in August or later for this year. Next year it will be in April!

Mike I know you have a hard time getting your dates right for these contests, so please tighten up and get them in on time!!!!!
Oh yes your plane look great and I like those big name letters. It does take the guessing out of it about who's flying that Black Magic. I'm going to do mine like yours and use that 3 inch font size. I'll be sure to give you your wake up call in the morning

Latest creation finished. All the paint, rigging and other misc items you do to prep a new plane. Well it flew today and the only word to describe is WOW! Never seen a airplane that needed no trim and no mix. Newest creation the one in front! Let me again say thanks to Mike Hester for such a great airplane. [img][/img]

Hey Mikey,
I could feel the love fest all the way down here in central Florida. I wish I had mine ready go to off the table, but it won't be long. I don't think I'll have it ready by my contest at the end of April, so I'll have it ready for Huntsville contest. The photos you sent were great and I know you are proud of that plane. And then to fly it and not need any trim or mix, that is fantastic. Congradulations on a job well done and to the designer and builder, just great man, just great.

Mike,
Nice looking plane! My first one should be done soon too. What did you use for Landing gear?

in that picture above I only see the colors Red, Blue, yellow, and white.
You know what it needs? a plane with some apple green and a Monster "M" on it.
we'll have to get a picture of all the Black magics at the contest.
ohh and Mike H. can you please bring the camera.

Just wanted to post some comments about flying my new VF3 in it's first contest at Ocala Fl.
I was amazed at how well I was able to handle the strong crosswinds (like 20+) and keep the plane on the poles. I was just basically pushing against the rudder springs, all the correction needed to fight the crosswind. It's amazing as I am flying without any mix and the yaw is so pure. With the anhedrals my plane has little buffeting from the gusty winds, seemed to really lock and actually felt like there was a lot less wind, it required very little work to keep the plane on the poles.
Compared to the V2 - the VF3 really lessens the pilot's workload - very stable and flies with authority in high crosswinds. The VF3 just makes it easy to look good out there.
Also the YS 170 - well it's freakin amazing. I was doing crazy stuff like 800 ft square loops and outside loops in these winds, the outside loop is super easy with the big motor and I was able to fly really huge maneuvers well in the high winds.
Black Magic Team Mascot Tuco the wonder dog says "getter done boys the season is starting !!!!!!"
Larry are you gluing yet ????

Hey All,
Can you give some of your weights on completed ready to fly wing panels. That's wing with servo and extention and all ready to fly. Thanks. I am painting wing panels and wondering what will be an acceptable weight.
