too bad for EVERYONE concerned.....

Went though something like this with a previous vendor. While I don't think there was any malice involved, it still took me almost a year to get everything I paid for. Hopefully this works out better for all sides.

RC Command has been okay for me. About three weeks ago, I ordered a Heng Long Panzer IV, the metal upgrade set for it, (gearboxes, track, sprockets, and idlers), and the Asiatam KV-1 metal sprockets & idlers. The Panzer IV and KV-1 parts got to me within two weeks, and the metal upgrade stuff is on backorder. (The KV-1 parts are wonderful, by the way - it's really a pleasure when parts fit so well).

I've ordered from Bill a couple of times in the past, and have no complaints so far. Sometimes things may be backordered, but they do always get to me in the end.

Lastly, prior to finding RC Command and Phil at TankWars, my only option had been going to Mato - and their VERY long shipping delays always left me frustrated. I am very satisfied with these folks, and have no need to deal with anyone else.

Tall Poppy syndrome
Bill Is a first class guy, he will go out of his way to help. Don't be so quick to put him down, try putting yourself in his shoes. What with all that has gone down in his personal life over the past few months his ability just to keep his business going is a testimony to his dedication to his customers. Most of you will never know the half of what he has gone through. It is not all his fault. On the 1st of August he sent me a "Priority mail" parcel Via USPS and it arrived today 7th October. It was post marked "Aug31, 2009" "PRIORITY". The delivery time is clearly not Bill's fault and this is not the first time other people/company/suppliers have let him down.
Get off his back, give him some space to move and watch him bounce back bigger and better than before

Don't be so quick to put him down
Some of these complaints go back to July and August. I would not call that "quick"

Look, I don't even have horse in this race - nothing on order from RC COMMAND.

First, If you are a vendor taking payment from people you have an obligation to communicate with them. People are still spooked by the other good vendors gone bad - go back and look at all the people who vouched for BYA before they tanked - pun intended.

Second, who ever has been logging on could have posted SOMETHING. The last post was almost a month ago. I remember the story of the kid who had both arms cut off in a farm accident, and still managed to pick up pencil with his mouth to dial 911..... If you feel the need, you will find a way.

A little communication - from the source - goes a long way. ONE short post could have cleared this all up and bought him some time and sympathy. Don't expect others to read your mind. For some the money spent on tanks is pocket change. For others they have to scrimp and save for every last nut bolt and screw. Do not be so cavalier with other peoples money or time.

(plus I don't recall having seen an RC COMMAND comment regarding the DARKITH Battle Unit controversy.)

Hi All. Well, I'm gonna weigh in here because Bill has done right by me. I ordered some things from him a couple of weeks ago and got them in less than a week. There was a problem though as one of the parts was the wrong one. I emailed Bill, told him about the error and the next day, he emailed back, told me that the correct part was on it's way and to send the incorrect part back when I could. I got the right part in two days. Can't beat that folks. I don't know Bill and have never "spoken" to him except through email, but from my point of view he's OK. If he is having some medical problems and other issues, then cut him some slack. He's a businessman and needs & wants our business. I really think he's being inundated with orders and with a lot of stuff having to be back-ordered (supplier issue, not the retailer = Bill), he's really way behind. Let's stand behind one of our own retailers folks. It's a lot easier ordering from Bill (or someone else here in the States). By the way, I've ordered nearly all my tanks from MATO, and parts from Asiatam, TankZone, and several others, and while no huge problems, there have been issues which often take a longer time to fix than what I've liked, but they've always gotten fixed one way or another (refund, credit, other parts, etc).

His success may be part of the problem. More demands then time allows and then throw in some medical issues, and bam you have a train wreck.

I've always maintained though that when you run a business and take people's money, you should have a process that makes you accountable. Bill if you are reading, it might not hurt to have status report on your website, that alerts customers of issues, before they send you money. It is quite evident that the status quo isn't good enough, and I sure sense a lot of disappointment surrounding some dealings with RCCommand lately. I don't know you personally nor have I purchased anything from you, but it is sad to see something so promising start falling apart.

In business you can expect patience from friends and family, but not the general paying public. A simple rule that must be adherred to.

Yeah, I really hope things start to get back to normal. With the Sherman and the Panther comming I'm really gonna need him. I need another T34/85 also. I'm also contemplating a KT from Blitz. Not a really big KT fan but gonna need one for Normandy scinearios.

Hey guys,
First time poster here and with the urging from a friend, thought I'd post this.

I ordered my HL Tiger I from Bill this past Friday. Well, I got the initial order invoice in my Comcast email account on Friday and the paypal receipt also. Well, Monday and today rolled around and I didn't see any sort of shipping notice and was curious about my order. I emailed Bill from my US Army account to both the "customer service" and "sales" email with nothing showing in my Comcast account. I checked my Army account this morning to see that Bill had replied to my email and to let me know that my Tiger shipped last night and that for whatever reason, Comcast was bouncing back his emails.

Now this isn't the first time this has happened with Comcast. I had another order from a couple of weeks ago from a different vendor, and it too was bounced back. Seems as if Comcast's email system is doing some funky stuff even with my spam filter turned off.

But I'm happy to report Bill responded quickly and my new Tiger I is en route!

BTW, I'm a first time tanker

Blake
