Try holding shift while clicking on the link. Perhaps your computer is pulling up a cached copy of the page. You could also try deleting the temp internet files. Check for it under the tools menu of your browser. Otherwise maybe try a different browser. If using Internet Explorer maybe try Firefox.

Thanks for that direct link Steve, it does seem to work better. Something is going on with the PayPal buttons not wanting to load for some reason, I’m certainly no expert on web code but that direct link does seem to work better. That’s one of the reasons I stopped updating my web site, I got tired of all the anomalies and trying to get everything to work, it just takes up to much time. It probably would help if I knew what I was doing! [sm=bananahead.gif][sm=bananahead.gif]

No problem. I have helped setup E-commerce sites for a few people on low budgets and it can be fun to get everything working right. I'm looking forward to getting the parts even though it just made my build time a lot longer on this plane. I figured I'd do it right once I started ripping the covering off.

Steve,I ripped the covering off my hellcat also, next I have to make the rails for my gear and widen the wheels for my gear to fit in.I,m using a very hard wood for the rails and it takes time to get them right. This is number 2 hellcat for me I crashed the frist one but can use many of the parts from the frist.

I've got a buddy who gives me scrap oak from his custom cabinet making. Nice clean and strong stuff. I still need to make the rails but I have the cutouts for the wheels to fit in. I need to buy servos yet too but they can wait for a bit yet. Right now I'm just focusing on getting the parts glassed and the whole plane ready for paint.

My Hellcat has been on hold for the last two months. Just order everything Luke is selling. Now I can finish working on it. I still need to make new tall surfaces ,flaps and glass everything. The wing has been cut down to 64" with a new trailing edge installed.

I started fitting the bottom wing fairing. The aft edge had to be sanded down to get a good fit. The fairing fits good at the leading edge, but the trailing edge has a quarter inch gap that need to be filled. I'm sure this is due to the fact the wing has been cut down. Final fitting of the fairing will be done after the wing has been glassed.

There are few posts further back, about others results. I used a SPE 26cc in mine, stock plane no serious mods around 13 1/2 lbs and it took off and flew no problem, but my C.G was off and it crashed on the maiden[&o] but I bought another one and all of Lukes great parts to go with it.with that great big cowl you can fit just about anything.

What is the correct CG for this plane? Just about to maiden her and I would really like to go home with the same number of pieces that I started with.
Thanks

Yes it is sold by several vendors cermark.com,greenmodels.com and maxfordusa.com all the same Co. it's a nice engine 26cc with electronic ignition, and lighter than the G 20 36oz total. The Hellcat is a 1.20 size plane so a G20 should work fine, but the price for the SPE. was only $250 with shipping they are a little more now but still a great buy.It will turn a 16/8 around 7800 rpm As far as the CG goes there were a couple of posts in this thread that thought it was not correct,I thought I had mine set just right using the range from the manual, but I was using a G.P. C.G. machine and I don't think I got a accurate reading. It took off just fine but after that it was a losing battle. The tail just mushed down and even full down trim didn't help. She snapped out on me trying to come around for a turn and into the trees she went. But I recovered all the parts and there was no damage to all the radio or engine so I'll try it again.

The SPE 26 would be a great motor friend has one and it is light and seems very powerfull. Looks about the same size as a G20 but way more power. Here is another one I came upon not sure it would work havn't measured distance from firewall to prop hub in a while but with rear carb it might fit more applications and is cheap. Need to look around first and see if anybody is using one and if they run good. If anybody knows anything about them let me know. $235 with wrap around muffler and standoffs is a great price.

just ckd out maxfordusa.com and they have the SPE for 259 inc shipping.the stock sidemount muffler worked fine on my Hellcat and only needed a small hole for the down pipe,it kind of looked like the pipe coming out of the real thing, but you can get a pitts style extra for 45.00
