mini t and mamba brushless question

hey guys, is it true that you have to get a new receiver for your mini t to install a mamba brushless motor and speed controller? if so, can the stock receiver and esc be seperated?

i have a ribbed pipe too. but then again i really dont know how loud it is with the stock pipe because i got my savage of ebay and it came with a ribbed pipe. i really dont think there is to much...

help! the threads on the cover plate behind the engine stripped, so the rotostart backplate vibrates off. so i went to take the cover plate off. there are 4 screws and 3 of them came off...
