Just as a side note on the SystemThree paint. I use this paint exclusively for my models (it's the same as the old Nelson's Hobby paints). I did some testing and found that the cross-linker which you...

I've been thinning epoxy this way for years without a problem. When this happens, just put a heat lamp on it for a couple of hours and it will complete the curing. You don't want high heat, just...

Just for future reference, the System 3 (Nelson's) crosslinker also works with other water-based polyurethanes. I've tested it with Min-wax Polycrylic gloss and satin clear, and found it cures well...

Putting the vertical fin and rudder in the front would make it unflyable. The vertical fin (properly "vertical stabilizer") must be behind the wing to do it's job which is to make the plane more...

I've tested my Maxima 9 with both Turnigy and Hyperion digital servos and they worked perfectly. I would expect that the Maxima works with any manufacturer's digital servos.

RE: A few questions about The Bird of Time

I agree with Bax. I've been flying a BOT built for electric power for about 2&1/2 years with no problems at all. The bit of spring tension provided by spreading the wires a little prevents any...

RE: Gimbal tension springs for JR 9303

I've replaced the springs at one time or another on pretty much every transmitter I've had including the latest Hitec Aurora 9. I've never done a 9303 but a JR 652 and several 8103's. It's not very...

RE: Sealer for fabric

PolyC is not glow fuel proof. Even 0% nitro methanol-based fuel will cause it to soften. Nelson's Clear worked great as a fuel-proofer over PolyC when used with the cross-linker but sadly, Jerry has...
