Depth perception works up to about 30 feet; just like focusing a camera; after that we judge size, relationships to other things like the ground and gain experience.

I agree with 7477; most kits have adequate firewall mounting. You may lose your firewall if you build too heavy, this happening due to severe contact with the ground![&o][&o][&o]

I have a saito 120 bolted to a 3/8 ply plate, with the plate screwed to the hardwood beams with (6) 6 32 3/4" screws. No problem.

Are you Sure you're not running out of threads; try holding the crank with a decent wrench and see if you can turn the prop by hand.

rotate some 120 sandpaper on the brass tubes til you can see the scratches; the fuel lines will hold better. Be sure your clunk clears the back of the tank.

A flying buddy had a similar problem; he solved it by adding chokes to the servo leads. I think this was a treatment, rather than a cure.

Sounds like your throttle arm is too flat (close to parallel with the engine) mount at idle; if you must have the arm flat do it at the Hi speed WOT setting.

AS I understand it the radio uses a particular multiplier of the crystal frequency. All radios work differently,(I think).

You can google Aero design propeller selector, safe dounload. I have checked it against measurements with a scale, it seems very accurate.
