had to angle main gear mounts to have wheels on right side, also enlarged hole for fuel tank cap and cut back lip on front of nacelle now i can install and remove tank fully assembled.I taped foam to front of tank and layed a piece of foam in the recess and secured with cable tie.Using standard size servos on ailerons all flaps and elevator, mini servoes on rudders, throttles and retract switch also fitting gyro.Replaced all hinges with medium dubro pinned typeand using 4/40 rod and ball links on rudders.

My B-25 is finally finished! All that's left is setting up the radio, balancing it, and breaking in the engines. Getting the Robart retracts that were made for the plane to work required some effort and a helping hand from both KMP and Robart, but the effort was well worth it; the plane looks very scale except for the fact that the main wheels are inboard rather than outboard. I'll post some pics (and more detail about the retracts) later this week.
The plane is heavy; haven't weighed it yet, but will after I balance it. I hope like crazy that my two Saito 82s will pull it.

Test flew my second B25 last weekend, powered by 2 x OS 70s f/s it flies beautifully with plenty of power and stability, I have installed a rotating top turret with a camera to take arial video and have operating bomb doors...it had half a dozen flights over the weekend and fast low passes (3ft off the deck) look sensational !
My first B25 has been sold to a mate who has installed OS 91 f/s........now that should be really honk!
I'll post some pics soon
cheers

I installed the supplied retracts (the version 3 upgrades) which worked Ok, some slop was noticed in the mains after the fourth flight which I'm yet to investigate however they went up and down when commanded so all good so far.
I'l persever with the stock retracts untill they let go, then I'll upgrade.
cheers

thanks Alan! iv'e installed the original retracts and thow they dont look that strong they are still in one piece..I fly from grass(have a video from my field in this topic) and i have orignal retracts and wheels and it works for me..I am sure that they will come apart one day but so far so good....when I read this forum i'm amazed how much job people put into changing the original config without trying it first,ok it always look better but it is expensive and is it nessecary? Before i start to critisise the stuff they sent along with the box I'd like to try them out! And in this case,I think i got what i'd paid for...
just for the fun o it ,i,m gonna change the retracts to EUROKITS hydraulic, but that dont change
my opinion that it is allways worth trying the original before I start to change it..
fly low and slow/richard

Several years ago, I bought some 1/10 scale pilot figures (full figure, plastic) from Frank Tiano Enterprises. I was going to use them in a B-17 project.

Ted Lawson's plane ( Doolittle raiders), called the 'Ruptured Duck",that might be hollywood's doings ( 30 seconds over Tokyo Movie) will check on it later..good winter project ..just take my time on it and do it right......Did A google search on the the 'Raiders", alot of good info on them.. Hey guys further to my last post, the new "Heavy Duty retracts" (The gold cylinder ones) supplied with the B25 failed after a dozen flights, the problem is with the plastic bushes on the push rod mechanism, they crack and brake away causing the gear to collapse. Fortunately this occured whilst taxying to the strip and not on landing so no damage was done to the model other than some heckling from the crowd of "single engine fliers"
I have had over 30 flights on my old B25 with the Blue retracts with no issues at all and thought the new larger units would be better however this is not the case, BTW all landings have been very gentle as no oleo leg bending has occured.

Hey guys
we had TWO B25s flying formation last weekend, my old 25 modeled on the "Grumpy" paint scheme and my new B25 in all over siver with invasion stripes.
The site and sound of two twins (4 x 4 bangers) side by side 20 ft off the deck was a mechanical symphony, unfortunately we had no free hands to take any airborne shots ......[&o]
The old "single engine" crowd were going nuts.....seeing one twin flying is one thing.....seeing two in the air in VERY close proximity is another
We have a Warbird fly off meet this weekend so hopefully will get some shots and maybe some vid.
cheers

Great Alan... THat is awesome... I love the TWINS and Multiengine Planes now and am quite an addict.. This fall/winter will give me time to finally finish my OV-10 which is partially assembled ARF needing my retracts from SHINDIN, P-61 in box and B-17 needs radio install and remount elevator and servos and then balance and detail before flight ready.......who knows maybe even a KMP B-25!!
well Alan... Good luck with your Bombing RUNS!!
Looking forward to the Pics and VIDEO if you may![8D]

A while back some of you were talking about having the noxe gear hang up on the pull pull stearing[:@]. Just take a small zip strip and cut the lock end off and use a couple heat shrink tubing and atatch each end of the zip-strip to each cable. The zip-strip will try to straiten out which will keep tension on the cables which will keep them from hanging up in your nose gears
. Also if you are into scale try to make the aircooler flaps around the engine cowel function. I did on my Wing B-25. These open and close with the throttle. Low throttle and they are wide open and as you advance the throttle they close. Realy adds to the scale look of this bird.
. Don't realy know why more modelers won't do this with their models. I mean if you can make a canopy open and close why not make the aircooler flaps open and close. This also helps in cooling the engines at low RPMs

Hey:
Any of you people have problems with the fuel tank?..The one in the kit ( 8.5 ozs) is not enough for a Mag 91- 4 stroke... might get 6 minutes of flight,if I'm lucky....is everyone flying with the tank that came in the kit?..the least I would like to use a 12 oz tank....Probably a flex type one...need a little input on this problem...thanx

Great Forum!!!
I just received the Gen3 retracts for my B-25 (missing from the boxes) and am eager to begin construction. Maybe KMP made some changes to the kit recently because mine has instructions to run 13 servos as was done in the October issue of Model Airplane News. Also the firewalls were pre-drilled for the included engine mounts. Since I'm not accustom to a 13 servo configuration plus 1 additional one for a bomb bay door, can someone shed some light as to how it should all be hooked up to a receiver(s)? I’m thinking of using two receivers, possibly with separate batteries and switches. I was also thinking of maybe going with higher ampacity Li-Po’s with voltage regulators. Has anyone configured the B-25 with dual receivers and if so what servos did you place on each?
Thanks in advance.
Daryl.

What I have seen others do with two receivers is to split the servos up pairing flight surfaces. As in one servo for the alerons on each receiver and so forth. If you use two servos for the elevator then put one on each receiver. Have not done this myself but have seen others do this. I am still just using one receiver but two switches and battery packs.
