I'm might just scale up my existing plan to a 68inch span, and build it out of balsa, and bolt a 90 size /type engine on the front. I have a 120 asp fourstroke sitting around doing nothing.
The only hassle is making the canopy and cowl, plugs, moulds etc I have done it before on a scratch built model but its a lot of work for a one off.

Edible, trust me the 3DX is not a patch on what malc is flying at the moment (hacker B20 powered) I have both and so has Ali and theres no comparison. the 3DX is a TOTALLY different kettle of fish compared to what Malc has up his sleeve on this one.

only because of the shipping problems due to the first batch being blown away. i dunno if you've been following the threads on E-zone, but things have finaly got back on track by the looks of it.
it's still a mighty nice looking beast ( even if the productions ones dont look quite as good out of the box ) if the Capiche I ( indoor, get it?
) ends up looking like that... yummy.

I mailed Todds to chase my Flubber and they dropped it!! No explanation[
] Umm from my end the 140 is ready

OK over to you to take the flack now Archie after The boy gives you the nod

I,m off to finish my little 40" toy.
Ultimate Philly baby knows where there are a set of 90 size plans
If he can get them to you, you build it from scratch, test fly it and I will make you a cowl and canopy

No room for 1/2" triangle, I even had to cut that away on the top RHS (looking at the front of the plane) to clear the Cowl. anyway i used some real (thick) cyano so its bomb proof now (the old stuff with the powder just fell off when i rubbed it with my fingers)
Im of to the workshop to design the next instalement to my indoor toys, if you like the one you got now malk you are gonna luv this one!! some secret disign aerodynamics that alow a much smaller plane than the original that flys better with more pitch resonse and 720 degree a second roll rate if desired (10 times better in roll than old one) and it can take a good bashing (should make you
)
Prototype has flown and ali just loves it (recons its the best so far) and to top it off it flys on a standard GWS twin motor £17 and just 3s 340 Li Polys... Cheap as chips

Yes malc i saw the elcetic at the freestyle. Was very impressed!
I am going to have to get one of these, should it be the boy's or Malc's that is the question (if there will be plans available)
The boy's plane sounds cheaper and billiant as well but so does Baron's!

both me and Ali both think a 15% biger C50 would be the way to go with a YS 63 or saito 90 etc. all the gear would weigh the same just a bit more wood and covering. would weigh 10 oz more but much more wing etc would fly the nuts. i would deff have one, Ali would probably want 2 (greedy Bas***d)
i know malc but it will be worth it in the end, just a cowl and canopy plug and a bit of scaling up and gigery for the cnc bits. U know it makes sence!!

Barron and Philly - yes I'll do it. I'll be happy to build one, test flight, and report . I'll PM you Philly Baby, so we can sort out the plans.
cheers
Chris

Re: the Boys leccy toy. I'm in the process of drawing up plans on the computer as mine got a tad bashed up.
These were purely for my own use as its Daves baby - if he's happy with it I'll post them as pdf when finished.
But!! i think things are moving at such a fast pace with the use of lipoly cells.....take a look at this! Plans freely available.

oh yawn yawn. I nearly nodded off watching that ! Long isnt it !
Not convinced by it though I have to say but probably suitable for the edible engines of this world.
Anyway- it aint capiche 140 related!
We look forward to The Boys feedback on the 140 EP..
