See!!!
Leave you lot alone for 5 mins and I turn into a drugs "Baron"
Blimey that is an old picture!!!!!!!!!
First model I ever designed. I remember Choppy doing Knife edge cuban eights with that toy.
Ripmax did a sorta kit of it but was a bit different to my original they called it Street Machinel!!
I am sure I saw one at Redruth?
Midnight transfer is a sticker set for Futaba supplied to me by you know who. It has become a bit of a "Must have at least one on a model" to wish it good luck. Yep sad

good choice... a little more expensive than the orvine option but both sound......
Ed, I will do that when we have this thread under control and the model has been flown next week.

Cartman, i've got one of the purple jobbies this morning, gonna fit on the Cougar this afternoon. only down side... dosn't come with a muff, for the price it would be nice, even tho it works best on the pipe which is a bit more £ than the average muff.
once fitted i can tell you how good it is VS the Leo 37 which i think is your other best option on the Capiche

Good one sprink... had a mail from another customer today saying the same... hes pleased with what he had...
Let us know how the build goes...
weather this weekend is looking like a right off and I got a heli comp on Sunday.... (never done one before !) oops now there I go off topic... easily done isnt it...
I must say Im still having trouble with my Capiche 50e.... Im a bit new to leccy stuff and so far I can only assume the ESC, which is a BEAT 55 is overheating.
Ive done all sorts and now I have strapped it inside the cowl near the motor so there should be bucket loads of air going over it...
Baron never had this problem !
I could do with my APC order arriving soon too so I can make a better prop selection...
So the upshot is the plane looks nice, flies nice, but only for about 2 mins before its a case of Uh oh..... LANDING !!!!!
Any Leccy Whizzos here ?

For those of you considering what engine to go in your capiche.........
Finally got the saito 72 for my Capiche 50 running when the rain finally stopped at 9.30 pm(!) last night.
I know when reviewers says this you think , "Yeah right!" but the Saito quite literally started the first time i turned it over with the glow plug fired. Its the first engine i have ever had thats done this.
After a few tanks i leaned it out and it throttled and idled really well. At the moments its a bit thirsty- it went through an 8 ounce tank at 1/3 throttle in 12 minutes, but this may change when its leaned out a bit.
The revs also drop a bit and sound more uneven when the glow plug starter is disconnected, but this should reduce when its run in hopefully.
My conclusion so far..............great engine!Very quiet at low revs.

i hope you remove those g-clamps when you fly... maybe the cowl will improve the looks to.. man thats one ugly Capiche
my West also went flirst flick, flew it on the second run.
the West 36 i got today took a little more persuation but on the Leo 37 muffler and the 11x4 Master its already sounding as strong, still not leaned, only the first run, had 12,900 rpm
Cartman... your choice West 36 GREAT! engine, but expensive and no pipe comes with it.
Leo 37, very good engine, cheap and with everything it needs.
untill i fly the Cougar and get the West fully up to speed i can't say i would buy one over the Leo for a funfly, for the bigger Capiche.... tough, 2 Leos for one West...
i know your going light which would make the diffrence, but you can't have too much power.

is that like a thief, who nabs stuff

regarding the west, ive been working nights all week to buy all the stuff to finish it, i have enough for the west and pipe.
way i see it, my capiche will weigh about the same as your cougar, maybe lighter, im going all mini servos, i think itll have enough power

archie, i will be placing an order sometime next week

Shadow.
I agree totally 4strokes rule but the West 35 has a spot in my heart for this model!! Easily prophangs.
If Cartman keeps it light and with smaller servo etc "AND"
doesn,t drive it at the deck full throttle in "Blenders"!!
it will dance. Give the RUDE ER a good servo though Cartman or you may regret it.
Archie go clean your own poop also
Off to workshop loads to do

My friend (doctor Jason) oppinion on the west 36 (he didn't write that himself, he told me):
unbaliveaible power, on a 11x5 the cougar will inverted climbing flat spin, do everthing, light weight and easy starting!
There, can you argue with a docter, you wont regret it cartmen
