It's actually a Fusion 90 size with mighty 110. Weight is 7lbs 8.5 ozs. I'm using a 16x6 APC prop. I've got exactly one flight on it. On the first landing the tailwheel broke off. Right now it flys very nice but is a little hard to land. I may be just a tad back too far on the CG. It's a pretty impressive airplane but a little hard to build and expensive. I bought the all white version and put the trim scheme on myself.
It does excellent harriers and pretty good KE. Everything else is about the same as the UCD60. You may ask how I know so much about the plane with only one flight?.....This is my second one. They will crash if left unattended.
I think the quality of the kit is a little less than average. I had to cut the side open on both planes to route the servo wires. Also the covering isn't as good as monokote. The hardware is pretty good. I used it all but there is better stuff out there.
I've replaced the tailwheel with the Sig Mayhem type and hope to fly again this year...depending on weather.
I do like the way it flys and I'm hoping it will be a little stronger than the UCD.
Anyways...
Thanks
Barry

Hi Barry, That looks so cool. You sure did a great job on trimming it out. WoW! [X(] Looks professional.
I love mine. Very nice plane. Does about everything the Accel Katana did but better. I put an OS 50SX on it because that's what I had and so far it seems to do good with it. The OS only has about 8 flights on it so I still need to dial in the tuning. [8D]

raideron...I don't think so. The Fusion flys very similar to the UCD. Mine is...of course similar to the UCD60. My fusion weighs 7lbs 8.5ozs, my UCD weighs 7lbs 12ozs. The Fusion does a lot better KE and Harrier but isn't as good in flat spins. So far I can't get it to rise. I do think it's a little tougher though. I was always breaking the wood on the hinges in my UCD. The Fusion is quite a bit more $ also. I can't really figure that out.
The Fusion is a fun plane to fly. And now that I've trimmed it in my own colors I like the looks of it. Before I didn't.
I don't think it will be all I fly though. I love my Velox also...and the Velox does a better KE than the Fusion.
Thanks
Barry

Hey all,
I have a question that has probalby been talked about already but I thought I would ask again. I am builinding my UCD and have a Saito 82 for it. I am planning on running an APC 14-4. Does anyone know which tru-turn spinner is right for this prop? I have to order it and don't want to order the wrong one, I'm sure it's the 2" ultimate but don't know if I need the wide blade or the 120.
Thanks

Barry and Rob.... Yeah same here on the flatties.... I enjoy flying them, But there is so much more
that would be here, if my wallet would agree...
Great morning at the field with the "Do" She did all the normal stuff with easy, But I had one of my best
Wall's today I was wide open down about 10' and at the center of the runway I slam her up and she
just went stright up and slid into a perfect hover.... Then the peanut gallery starts in with, I guess with all
your wing noise your trying to rip them off, Your lucky that they did not come apart, but it was nice [8D]

Raideron...Sounds like fun...I'm just getting started here, (weather). It was pretty good last week. I got 5 flights in on my UCD46 and 4 on my Fusion. Unusual for us in February.
Sounds like you are having a great time. Ignore the peanut gallery. They'll coax you into "ripping your wings off".
Have a great time out there...
thanks

Hope someone can shed some wisdom on me . On my ucd 46 my original tank leaked and cracked and I replaced it and it seems that I still have problems . I was using a st 45 and could not get it to stay running with the inverted engine set up . So I just purchased a os 55 AX and that is a great engine figured it was designed for inverted 3 D planes well it ran fine but after 3-4 min it shut off in flight . I ran 2 tank fulls on the ground and it was running great set it rich with a trail of smoke and took off again and again it shut down after 3-4 min running time . I must admit I really hate inverted engine mounting but do to design I kept it that way. Is there any one out there that mounted there engine side ways to me thats the best to have your tank lined up with your engine. I ran 13-4 APC if anyone has pictures of there side mount I would greatly appreciate any advice . Thank you in advance Ken
PS what type and size tanks are you using?

Ken, I'm wondering if your clunk might be getting hung up at the back of the tank? It's sounds like it's set rich enough so I'm not thinking along those lines. How is your low speed set up? One thing you could try to is make your fuel line going from the tank to the carb go into a loop instead of straight over to it. A loop in the line seems to help keep it from draining the fuel over to the carb.

Ken, I'd do as Rob said and insure your clunk setup is good(stuck or not too long)
I use all my fuel on every flight
.. So mine will "rub" the middle/bottom of the
end of the tank, but can't get stuck and I also file the slit a bit bigger for those
times depending what tank.. I also add brass tubing to prevent the clunk from
going to the Frt.
I'm not sure about the OS 55, but I have been told the the FX 46 does not like to be
inverted with a higher tank... If your removing the tank for replacement, you could
trim the tank saddle and oblong the firewall hole to drop the tank somewhat, IIRC
I lowered mine about 1/2" or so then I just used silicon to hold and seal.. also I
mounted the engine inverted on the top of the up right engine mount(you may have
to "trim" one of the mounts arms) and gained a little upward movement of the carb
also, but it was for my S-82.... I used this tank, But it "could" have been the 12oz

Another Great "Do" morning... I starting to go "Low" again... Might not be good if the
"past shows up [:@]... Gary, what do you use to cover up the scrape marks from the
runway on the top of the rudder?? [8D]
