Over a week and still we have silence. I figured we'd have a post in at least one of the threads by now. Other than this thread not a post in the forum since the 23rd of last month.

I don't have an "ad" issue as much here as I do in other sites so I can live with it. Can't argue with that, Astro. Kind of like the Biden press secretary, she has to "circle back" on just about every question she's asked. Time to bring back Kayleigh McEnany since she knew how to show up ready to go every time and not just show up and go through the motions

You could also call and talk to Tyler Dobbs, I'd bet he would be willing to discuss it with a member. I have participated in two teleconferences in the past 3 months where Tyler has discussed this, and other regulation-related issues.
I'm sure you realize that this forum, with its plethora of "expert" naysayers is the absolute *last place* an AMA person would discuss these issues.
If you want the latest information, ask the source...

I have to agree with Mongo. It's us so called "expert naysayers" that actually need to be convinced that joining the AMA is what we need to do. It's a known fact that the AMA is on the verge of bankruptcy and needs new members badly due to wasteful spending and no real fiscal planning. We possible new members really don't need the AMA for anything since they don't provide anything I can't get elsewhere. Therefore, as I said, the AMA needs to convince us "expert naysayers" to join the AMA and discussing these issues in a transparent and honest way would be a good place to start

Did you read Lawrence Tougas' column in the November 2020 issue of Model Aviation? It contains a summary of one of the numerous successful SRM meetings that have lead to LOA's for operations over 400' at AMA fields.

So Bob,
Exactly how many fields in Class G have formal agreements to fly above 400 AGL?
Exactly how many fields in controlled airspace have formal agreements to fly above 400AGL?
You gave us one example. How about the other 3,000 clubs?

Anyone notice how they operate? Single data points proving a rule? He references one success and implies that somehow indicates greater success. Keep in mind the one club to which he refers is heavily populated with our self proclaimed RC nobility, the turbine crowd.

Pigeon chess. swoops in, makes a claim, is asked to qualify said claim and just flutters off with nary a response. Classic.

So someone in the organization says something? So what? Big deal! As the old lady on TV use to say, “Where’s the Beef?” We hear nothing but rumors and propaganda coming out of Muncie with nothing to substantiate it. And the Yay-Sayers in their best kindergarten character do nothing but simply parrot Muncie believing that if Muncie said it, it must be so. No further proof required. Fools!
So if you want to fly RC, print out a copy of the FAA rules and make sure you understand them. Then find a suitable spot and go fly. The Yay-Sayers will try to make you out as some sort of criminal (isn't that what was said in that issue of "The Hill"?). But hey, you'll be enjoying the hobby.
Like I've said, I've lurked here for several years.

Ah well back to cleaning the shop. Need it clean before I start my next project. What's happen to you guys? I used to drop in during an intermission of meaningful work to catch a laugh or two but I log on and the AMA forums seem to have died out. Is that what happens when Grew isn't around to stir the pot and give you direction? The circle flies have lost the attractant that kept them together.

Ahhhhh but Junk your entitlement is worse than some of the younger generation. You won't join/attempt to improve (by action not the flapping of that loose flesh on the front of your head) and you expect the AMA to pay attention to you, provide answers to your questions AND on top of this discuss the financials/business of the AMA with you. Yep kind of delusional on your part.

The REALITY is, that AMA has not provided that information to ANYONE.
Your trolling is stale....

Junk you will always be a source of entertainment and I have a PC in the shop for breaks like this LOL.

Since permission to fly over 400' is one of the most pressing issues of the recent FAA actions , I think it's more than fair to want to know just how successful (or not) our lobbying agent , the AMA , has been in securing permission for clubs to fly over 400' .....
