Hi

I came across this Blade CP simulator and thought that maybe you guys might want to check it out. The nice thing about this simulator is that it comes with the proper cable to hook up the stock Blade CP controller so you can use it on your computer.

The 1320 has both a JST connector and a 4-pin balancer.
The 910 has just a 4-pin balancer, and apparently no JST connector, and they don't seem to offer a TP910-3SJ.
2 questions, what is the purpose and use of the balancer, and, how do you connect the 910 that has no JST connector?
Thanks,
Kiiski
I have the 1320 that I use in my copter. Love it.

I know that the 1320 comes either with/without the JST connecter. If it does not have the connector, there is just a pigtail to which you must install your own connector. I suspect the 910 is the same way.

I have a Thunderpower cell balancer that the 4 pin connector plugs into. You can use it with/without the charger, it will balance the cells either way. If you plug it in while charging, it will beep near the end of the charge, and it also insures that all cells are equal and no cells go over voltage. The four-pin connector merely gives you access to each cell individually so the individual cells can be monitored/balanced.

Only the add-ons are compatable with G2 and G3. A model created specifically for G3 won't work in G2. The file extension of the created plane is different and I've tried changing the extension before with no success. Even though the Watt Not is in both versions, the programs don't treat the files the same due to backgrounds and details.

Come on DJ, give me some details. Please, pretty please.

Zoo is correct about it only working on G3. I've been flying it for a couple days. It seems a little zippier than the real Blade, but it is a good heli for practicing, as it is closer to the blade than the other helis in G3. The crash modelling seems to be over generous, as I can land it pretty hard without it breaking. Here are a couple pics from my sim.....

LMAO!!!

I looked at those pix before I read the text. I actually thought that was a real heli!! I was thinking that it looked like the blade, but different. I was going to ask what mods you put on it then I read the text and felt real stupid.

If the pics were bigger, I might have seen that it was a simulator, but at that scale, it looks pretty darn good..

OK, I gotta know how you got the pics from the sim. Or is it too complicated to explain. I can grab a recording and email it, or get someone elses recording, and watch it on mine (if it is from another G2), but thats all I know how to do. Great pics !!! I saved em.... cool...

Press ALT + PRINT SCREEN for the entire screen

-or-

CTRL + PRINT SCREEN for just the selected window.

This copies the pic to a clipboard. Then you can paste it to your favorite photo editor

I only get pics from my computer so far. I've done it using a remote server, but I don't like doing that. I like everything simple, but I understand why the other way is used, it does save space on the site. I just hate using that method for some reason. LOL By the way, where's PRINT SCREEN ???

Assuming you are on a PC vs a Mac, It's the key next to the SCROLL LOCK key. It's also called SysRq

When you press and hold the Ctrl key then press the Print Screen key, It places the graphic in a clipboard. This is a memory location which windows controls. It's the same location that text is stored when you type Ctrl "C".

Once you've copied the pic (by pressing Ctrl Print Screen), you open your favorite photo editor (not viewer) and paste it by either Edit>Paste or pressing Ctrl "V".

Another way, if you don't have a graphic editor, try a Winword document. Open Microsoft Word and go to EDIT>Paste. This will insert the picture into the document.

I am curious, what are the 6 channels on a blade TX? All I see is 4? Does eCCPM mixing function a channel itself?

1 Aileron
2 Elevator
3 Throtte

5 Not used
6 Pitch

I can't remember for sure ch 1 and 2 may be the opposite :0) Of course ch 1,2, and 6 are ccpm mixed in the tx.

Cheers!

Default RE: E-FLIGHT BLADE CP

I want to see if anyone can give me any input on what to do...

I just go through tearing my whole Blade Cp apart to replace a bent main shaft. I was very careful on putting everything together exactly the way it was. I thought I did a perfect job and I followed the guide on bladecprepair.com.

I went to fire her up and she spins up perfect with very little wobble (still havent tracked the blades yet) All my servos are working fine. The problem is when I push the stick or give any input on the right stick it used to jump the way i push right away. Now I have to push all the way to one side and then it barely drifts to that direction. I re-checked everything and it looks ok. When I push those directions without the blades spinning the servos seem to be working fine.

Any suggestions?

Also It takes almost full throttle to lift it off the ground...

Try setting your blade tracking first, then see how it flies.

I just hit the button while I was flying.... Pretty tricky on the inverted one.

Hey

How are you guys doing. As you all know I am new to the blade and still expiermenting. Have you guys seen the carbon fiber battery tray for the blade. I believe it is at helidirect. If so do you guys have any feedback on the tray or the conversion gear and skids they have. One other question. Does anybody else make a nice set of skids with the antenna tube and all for the blade (carbon fiber) preferrably. I have done a couple searches but cant come up with anything else.

Zooland : I think i wil just stick with the swashplate for now and wait on the bell hiller head. I have my hands full know just trying to hover the thing. It has been snowing every other day out here so i waiting for a break in the weather.

Thanks Scott

In the 'got my plasti blades thread, i was boasting how i got a nice outside flight in today. Mentioned that i was going think about going brushless. Then the heli devil hit me.

The magic little smoke escaped from my E-Flite 2&1. No more flying for me. Since i now dont have a esc/mixer/bec, i'ma going to have to go brushless. I was adjusting the ball links on my left side aileron servo, and then i got a WHOLE lotta jitter, then poof, smoke. rats. did not change anything from flying 1 hour ago, just doing a little trimming with the link, and pooof, the magic smoke genie escaped.

so, the question for you brushless folks, what to get?

Great thread guys. I'm on page 36 and my eyes are bleeding! I just got my BCP and was doing a control test, and at full throttle I only get 5 deg pitch unless I put the throttle trim up all the way. Is that normal or should I adjust the linkage so I get full pitch with no throttle trim?

Also I crashed and the paddle blades pivoted and lost their original setting. Any suggestions on the proper angle to set them at? Finally, if I get the aerobatic kit will it make simple hovering easier? Thanks for any help guys, hopefully in a couple of days I will finally be comfortable enough to go higher than 3ft and hover for more than 10 seconds at a time! As soon as the tail spins around more than 90 degrees my brain farts so I have to set her back down.

Paddles should be at zero degrees to the head. Make sure their perfectly level to the head and each other. And check the distance from the head as well. They need to be equal.

On the blade pitch, what mode are you checking in. Unplug the motors and check them in idle up. You should get +10 and -10 or close to it.

I'm working on a G2 version. Hoping to get some help from the guy who wrote the one for G3 since Doug obviously doesn't know what I'm asking for (tongue sticking out).
