I was thinking about engine color, perhaps something to match the airplane's paint scheme? I will admit I do prefer a bare naked engine to painted.

I have heard that before.
The Norwegian Princess knows "cool" a lot better than those folks do
Then again, you guys get all excited over a clumsy puller.
And you should know I think busting you chops in return for the stuff you dump on me is "fair play".
The paint is fine, on your engines. Makes mine look all the better
I want flip flop paint on mine, that way it looks different from different angles, sort of like my truck. Looks black at times, then deep reddish brown at others. I'm weird that way.
Mike you need to clean that vise before taking glamor shots, takes away from the engine, IYKWIM. I almost bought a Flex that had that paint scheme, it was Ruby Red with the black roof. Sold before I could get to it. It was purdy!

Since were on the subject of finishes, I saw an interesting curtsy car from one of the car dealers. They had taken an SUV and did a full body wrap in chrome! Boy, was it ever an attention getter! It was also a real pain in the wazoo when the sun bounced off it.
Yeah that kind of thing should be illegal. It may look good, but can cause accidents from the glare. I have been behind pickups and SUV where the sun reflected off the back glass and was quite blinding. Can't imagine what a full on sun reflection off a chromed car would be like.

Maybe something like this. Interesting story behind this, When Mr. Ford decided to do this he brought his own crew of men to the Crucible Steel Mill in Midland, Pa. where I worked in 1965 and 1966. He paid the Crucible employees to stand back and his men made the steel then transported it by train to Detroit. I was a Brakeman on the Mill's own Rail Road.

Auburn Indiana. So that car has over 200K miles on it. Not bad at all.
Just checked out that location, there is an RV park right next to it. Guess who is planning a car museum trip for next year. Going to hit this one, then Henry Ford in Michigan along with the Rouge plant tour.
