Mine will be in the air soon, I will post a video of it on You Tube...
This one was painted with PPG automotive paint...Uses WREN 160 for power
That turbine fits the rails perfectly!

Balancing was easy.. I just put all batteries up front AND I left the extra
fins off of the rear to save some weight back there! I know that's not scale
but I am not a scale nut! I just like to fly planes that look good... THANKS

I had to take the Rabbit out of the Flash to check the C.G.
I had a bypass section from another jet so I decided to use it, it helps shield the air tanks and wiring
I used a cardboard tube wrapped in Aluminum tape for the wiring duct.
I like the Jet Legend pipe mount much better that the Skymaster system

Went over to my buddy Cliff's house the other night, tried my balance fixture out on his Viper
He needed a couple of small batteries (1/2 Lb) to get his balanced with all of his equipment in, you can see them tapped to the nose.
We had to hurry he was complaining about the weight he had to hold
It's tough to get old

Well I smell the Easter Ham cooking...got to go... Happy Easter to all!

Airgraft. . . what is incorrect about this. . . .? Are you not the finest and greatest "air-graft on this piece to that piece" person in all the USA ? You have resurected some real challenges. I think it is fitting. . .OH well, now gone. . .but not forgotten !

LOL, that's funny. Asking Rich if he's going to the Wren open house is like asking a carnivore if he's going to a vegan convention. Good ol' Rich chooses Jet Central (if you couldn't tell from his signature block) so the only way that he'd go to a Wren open house is if they were handing out Cheetah parts as door prizes.

I wish I would have though of that before removing the "G"... although I don't think I need training for grafting airframes together

Disclaimer: I'm a SM L-39 guy lurking this thread
That done, I noticed Ali mentioned, way back in post #2, about fastening the cockpit tubs to the canopy. I'm wanting to do this with my L-39 canopy and cockpit tubs, making it one removable unit. I've been scratching my head over the best way to do this. I'd initially thought about using Hysol to glue the tubs on, but that seems too permanent. I've since been trying to figure out a way to make it possible to disassemble the tubs from the cockpit if the need arises.
If anyone has done this and can shed some light on the way they made the cockpit and canopies one unit, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks,
Randy

Silicon(like the one used in bathrooms) works very well, didn't do it on my big VJ but used it on my Eurosport with good results.
You can see some if it here on the bottom around the edges.
