the stock Hyper tank is terrible IMHO... causes half tank lean pretty badly.... very poor and stupid design if you ask me, the tankis built like an upside down pyramid......

Anyone having any tuning issues with a motor int he Hyper may be fighting the fuel tank not the motor... tuning improves drastically when you use a Mugen tank instead.... good luck trying to dial in a Picco 28 on the stock Hyper tank LOL !!!

there are 3 good reasons to change the Hyper tank... the mounting posts suck and allow too much flex which will cause fuel to foam, its very common to see air bubbles in the Hypers fuel line because its sucking foam....... 2nd reason is the tanks shape, its huge on top and very small on the bottom, which will cause the fuel pressure to change as the tank uses up its fuel, exactly what happens on a Savages fuel tank... The fuel pressure is idrectly related to the surface area of the fuel, more surface area means more pressure, less surface area means less pressure..... Which is why the best tanks are always square, the surface area stays constant from full to empty. The Mugen tank is square and holds very consistent fuel pressure.... You can tune around the Hyper tank( rich when full, lean when empty) just like you can with a Savage tank... but honestly why bother hassling when you can install a much better tank that will tune much more constantly from full to empty... As well the left side opening of the Hyper tank is ghetto and requires someone to hold the pipe side of the truggy to fuel the tank.... total PITA..its much easier to refuel with a standard front/back fuel tank....

Never had or heard of this problem. You may need to start up your own RC company and design your own tanks and engines. You are obviously smarter than the engineers and researches at these companies. You constantly criticize companies and their products when you have a problem. You are a freaking RC Genius.

OFNA and Hobao are very aware of these issues... some of their sponsored drivers are where I got my info from in the first place...the next gen Truggy will have these issues resolved....And definitely I am smarter then some of the engineers who design and develop these products... some of the crap that is produced is terrible and it doesn't take a genius to see that.....

There are no issues to report. No one I know has had these issues. No one on this thread had issues with the tank until Supertib Almighty purchased a Hyper ST Pro. No one had problems running a 21 in their ST until Supertib Almighty says it is too heavy. Dude, every thread you join you try to become the expert. This is not my opinion, it is a fact. You can click on your screen name and look at all your posts. They are all criticizing some well know product. I'm just sick of you.

Too bad for you then !

i only put in the losi tank cause sometimes we have marshall issues and i did not want to flame out in case of a mistake. i still have the tank right here. the sideways thing is just different, with a long ziptie put your wrist on the roof and its open, no big. i never had any tuning issues with either tank.

Thank you. I'm sure your .21 is moving the ST with no problems as well.

Heres my .21 in the Hyper.....IMHO the Truggy is better with a .28, but I do race in black dirt, so its a whole different ball game then what you run on..

The fuel tank posts are crap and break easily. So my brother-in-law fabricated some new posts made out of delrin with rubber washers for fastening down the tank to. Works well and strong. I haven't had an issue with my OS V-Spec tuning in regards to the tank. Tank cap angle does suck but my pit man is use to it now and has no issues.

Your videos have no weight for people who have been racing a 21 in their truggy for months. This thread has been going for a while with no issues or complaints. All of a sudden you decide to buy a Hyper ST Pro and now theres a problem. If you look back through this entire thread, you will see that you are the only person having all these problems with your ST. I do not need to see your videos of you running back and forth on dirt or a parking lot. I raced a ST with a 21 and watched others do the same. The key word is "race".

Maybe I should word what I am saying here..... Obviously we each have very different standards of how much power we want from our engines... For some people a mild mannered .21 may be more then adequate for others a mild .21 isn't enough motor... Myself and others feel the Hyper ST is too big for a .21, and others like yourself can make due with a mild .21 like a STS... I can't say that you are wrong, but you can't say that I am wrong either... Its all personal preference.... If someone wants a smooth easy to drive budget engine they need to talk to you, as obviously you have good success with the gear you run......... On the other hand if someone wants to run a high end crazy modded motor they need to talk to me, as that is what I specialize in........ The crazy motors are pickier to tune, and they are much more sensitive to fuel pressure and air leak symptoms ... maybe your mild mannered motors didn't mind the Hyper tank, but I can assure you any of the big powered motors are going to..... We each are entitled to our opinions if my ideas and advice bother you so much then don't read it..., hate me all you want its not going to change my opinion of what is right or wrong......and your constant attacks are by no means going to deter me on bit, in fact it will only provoke me to fight harder..... So you might as well get used to seeing me around, your attacks are only going to lead to you being banned... I will have absolutely no part in any more childish arguments or conflicts..... I am very confident in my skills and experience, and I have helped dozens of people understand and tune engines..I have racers all over the world running my modified engines with great success, I am by no means the backyard hack your trying to play me as....

Now you are claiming to be a international engine modder. Look back through this thread. No one has had engine tuning issues because of the tank. You claim to be an expert in every forum. You are a joke. Let this Hyper ST Pro thread go about its business without all your negative post about the vehicle.

I am better then you !!!! its that simple ! LOL

hahaha.................hey guys, it was a good little giggle at first seeing you 2 go back and forth, but maybe its about time you kissed and made up......or just let it rest......or whatever is is that you guys do. every time i get emails saying new comments have been posted on this thread, i get all excited, and all squishy and gooey inside, and its you two still niggling............... haha....

i'm only a basher at the moment but i still like to keep up with the latest mods and am always keen to see other peoples ideas and quite often look back through this thread if i have a problem and can usually solve it just by reading comments that obviosly other people have already had.

hey, heres a quick joke to liven things up a bit!

i bought a race horse the other day and decided to name it "my face"
in its first race he was neck and neck all the way to the finish line and there i was yelling out "come on.....my face"!
.........be happy peolpe!!!!

When I broke my chassis braces I bent the chassis, make sure its not bent.

You can get the Pro Wing Mount + Holder of Nitro House and then use the Pro chassis brace....

How are you breaking braces.!?

Thanks Qaiz,

What about the front chasis brace?

Do you have the part numbers that I would need??

The first time i broke them I just crashed a lot. Since then I got better at driving, but they just built this huge jum on the front straight at my track. I don't think I am exagerating when I say that to clear it you fly about 18-20 feet high and 25-30ft long. You have to be wide open throttle to clear this thing. My truck can clear it but, I hit pretty hard a few times.

Thanks!
