I like to see that. That has to be cool. Personally I am tired of Nitro and converting my Nitros to Electric. Have the entire winter to do it so I can take my nice old time.

forgive my crude description and lack of electric conversion knowledge... but does noone make a motor mount fot the hyper st/s that replaces the rear centre diff mount thingy madoofer haha. so the motor mounts onto a horrizonal plate in the usual fashion?

Nope. None that I know of. All the ones I have seen have been scratch made or made to fit. What you need is a brushless motor mount that replaces the Nitro motor mount so you can attached the pinion to the center diff. There isn't one out on the market that I know of that is plug and play. I am going to get the novak conversion and drill my own holes to make the plate.

Well after some research all in all this seems to be the best truggy in my price range. It steers like no other, its fast, agile, even though it heavy it can put down fast lap times. Also it can keep up if not do better then the 8ight-t and all that, especially steering. Does the kit come with a pipe, clutch shoes, and clutch bell? If i go with this do you think i made a good chioce?

I am currently running a OFNA Comp LX, OFNA Hyper 7 TQ, Associated GT, and a couple of Raze buggies. Last year I got back into the hobby after a few year's hiatus.
I posted this in another thread, but it looks like it fits here as well:
FWIW - I have done a lot of research on these boards and others for a new truggy over the past several weeks. I have been an OFNA nut since 1982 (original HODR), and initially leaned very heavily towards the Hobao ST PRO. However, after doing my "due diligence", I narrowed my choices down to the Caster K8T and the GS XUT. Further research of just these two had me landing on the Caster, and I was ready to order. Unfortunately, the catalytic converter on my Toyota truck now has to be replaced which is going to eat up the discretionary money that I earmaked for the XT8. I am not a happy camper because of having to shell out the coin to replace the catalytic converter, but I WILL get that Caster XT8 as soon as I build up my funds!

i have a K8T, and they are a very nice car to drive, they can be a bit lose in the rear < but that just might be my setup, the only upgrade i would recommend is Big Bores , but the normal PRO is a good truggy

I run 6mm on the front and 4mm on the rear and have no rubbing with standard offset LPR wheels.

Did some of you guys put some performance parts in the Hyper PRO? Like Jammin's Big Bore Shocks or new brake hardwares?
Just wanted to know if they are an improvement over the stock shocks cuz they're only 14mm.
And what shocks are you running? Please note the brand of the shock oil, cuz every brand differs in shockoil.
Oh, and how you do you guys set-up the links for the brakes?

Hey Spikeitaudi - I also use the dynamite linkage but it doesnt look right cos the arms into the ball joint are pulled far back instead of being at right angles.
How does yours look?
I will post a piccy when I get home

I don't have issues with the brakes (yet), but just wanted to know if you guys use other links for improvement. I read about those Dynamite Linkages, they seemed to be popular. Wanted to know if they work on the Hyper, so it's a yes.
And about the shocks, is 45wt front and 40wt rear (Associated oil, a bit thicker than Losi oil) a good set-up for shocks? Or maybe 40wt front and 35wt rear? 40wt all around?
droidswarm, I would appreciate pics

Sorry for not replying quicker, heres a photo which shows that the brake linkage arms do not run parallel with the servo arms. It needs to be like this otherwise the brakes dont engage. Is it a problem?

It won't do any harm, but you need to be sure that they aren't braking when you don't want them to brake. What I mean is a dragbrak effect.
Oh, and I think that they will engage more precisely, cuz if they run parrallel, there will be a 'gap' before the brakes engage, if you know what I mean. Cuz the linkages will have to travel a couple of centimeters to engage.

As far as shock settings. you talking about position or oil thickness or spacers? All are dependant on the track you run on.
