hey there, Well new car and new track design untested... great day for racing. There are two blue cars, mine is the one with the yellow wheels..... practice time was great, 1st rd - placed second , 2nd rd crash and burn. My day ended with the crash, some rut on the straight away???? oh well. there are two blue cars, mine is the one with the yellow wheels.... Youll see my crash that ended my day, at no expense at the end....no shame on my part....

Thanks for the comment, but I should have done better. I cracked a suspension piece sometime earlier in the race and it finally gave out on the straight away, caused me to nose dive....I was happy to get the wreck on video,,not really. lol

Yes they are but the one on Nitrohouse with that body isn't the one that comes with the RTR from what I remember. The one on Amain is what you get.
The way you can tell is if you look at the bodies you can see the one on nitrohouse has those to black brace up top that connect the middle to the rear of the body and has the number "7" on it. That is a PRO body. If you look at the amain picture it doesn't have that brace. That is the RTR body. So yes they are both the samething, but Nitrohouse just has a picture of the Pro body.
Also, on NItrohouse site the RTR and PRO kit have the same truggy on the pic. Its a PRO body painted up in the OEM scheme.
Hope that helps.

No probs mate, US is same as in the Far East then, the RTR has the higher RTR body. I far prefer the Pro one, it's much lower profile and more shaped than the RTR. In my eye, it's probably the best looking truggy body out there. And the Pro wheels also look really good and, from what I've heard, one of the lightest wheels out there, I haven't weighed them myself though.

Agreed buddy. The Pro body is nice. That was one of the things that factor in when I decided to get the ST PRO. I wanted something nobody else had over here that was reliable. It's a bit heavier but turns better then some of the other truggies out there. For the racing I DO it is fine and meets my needs

Anybody know what happen to all the Hype about the BCE chassis for the ST pro? I heard alot of noise about it but nothing to back it up any claims they made it was significantly better. Not to mention it cost a ton more then the Standard Chassis.

I have been making carbon fibre shock towers and centre chassis brace. These save quite a lot of weight on the truggy and to date after about 4 races, I have yet to bend, break or even chip one. I will be making them and selling, will keep you guys posted. What with the $ to £ you guys in the US will be smiling.
I have also milled my chassis, in total I have lost around 220 grams (about 7 3/4 ounces) on the standard Pro. Almost the same weight as the X2 now. I will hopefully be weighing them both next week with wheels off to check exactly as last time, I had some heavy wheels on. The car definitely feels a lot lighter on the track and jumps a lot easier.

I have also made some quick release engine mounts. These were just roughly cut by myself manually. I will be making some on the CNC machine which will be shaped for weight and assist in engine cooling while still maintaining strength.

Thanks guys.
I'm a Product Designer by trade, we have a fully equipped model shop downstairs too. I also have contacts within bureau's, which help me out every now and again to get parts made.
The Carbon fibre parts I made on a CNC Router, the engine mounts were made on a milling machine and the radio box was made using an FDM machine. All of this excepting the Carbon parts is a work in progress. I will find my weight measurements and let you know exactly how much you can save, etc.
The radio boxes are designed along the lines of the original with the same double edge, etc. This I found to be pretty good at keeping water and mud out unless you drive through a big puddle.
The biggest issue with the boxes is the cost, so I kept them as simple as possible to try and keep the costs down. I would have liked to use co-moulded rubber seals too, but the cost was way to prohibitive.
I am also designing my own truggy at the moment, which I believe will be quite radical, I will reveal all once I have made a prototype and track tested it. Probably about 6 months from now, hopefully sooner.

Thanks guys. I need to work out the price exactly, but I think they will be around the £25 + postage mark.
I will let you all know if you're interested.
