RE: AFV Model M1 Hull Kit: Contents

Hi BarkingSquirrel,
Glad to hear you finally got your package. It looks to be about as beat up as mine was. I see you got the smoke grenade launchers too. I forgot to order them when I bought my...

RE: what scale of tank you have, metal or plastic?

Hi Puff,
No, I haven't bought one (yet)... My economy hasn't gotten stimulated enough yet.. I think they were running around $1200, but my info is somewhat dated. Oddly enough, I didn't see a price...

RE: what scale of tank you have, metal or plastic?

The company that makes them is Chunwai Models. I believe they sell direct.

Here's a link to a review and a link to a build.

RE: T-81 single pin tracks

Odd... He was posting on RCTankHQ as late as yesterday. I hope all is well.

I have had problems removing pins from Impact tracks as well (and bent a few pins trying to reinstall them too). I've...

What email address were you using? The one I use is [email protected] and I always get a quick response from Bob, sometimes within minutes.

RE: Where to get metal damper mounts for HL PZIII?

Actually Wecohe does seem to carry the mounts.. as part of their shock absorber kit (here). They're kind of pricey, though...

Simple and effective... very nice...

How do you like the Impact TU's? I have a set for a future KT build, but haven't tried them yet.

RE: First Zimm job

SoulAssassin,
The zimmerit looks awesome, especially for a first attempt! [sm=thumbup.gif] I like the primer color too. I'm going to have to get some and give it a try. One question... where did...

RE: Tamiya King Tiger questions

The coating seal is Tamiya's lame attempt at stick on zimmerit. It doesn't look very realistic and I have heard there can be issues with peeling.

Avoid using the Loctite blue or red on your...

RE: Tamiya Tiger startup problem

Hi Arild,
I've been following your build on Planet Armor for some time now and I am most impressed with the level of detail on your build. I used a bunch of the Aber stuff on my Tiger, but a lot of...

RE: King Tiger Build (Finally ready to start)

I used a lot of Scaled Hardware's nuts, bolts and rivets on My Tiger 1; I didn't like the look of the Aber PE nuts and bolts, plus they were to fiddly to bother with. Got extras with my orders too;...

RE: King Tiger Build (Finally ready to start)

Thanks Gary,
I used a bunch of Scaled Hardware stuff on my Tiger, but this is the first time I've seen the Wecohe wingnuts used.

I like... I like a lot.. I'll be using them on my future...

RE: Spare track holders KT

Gabriel,
Are you installing the Schumo track hangars? If so, they should have come with a template that shows where to install them. I've scanned in case you need them.

RE: King Tiger kit #56004

Tamiya did put out at least one RC Porsche turret King Tiger; Kit #56007
Altough this kit has been discontinued, they can still be found on Evil-Bay; I picked one up a few months ago.

RE: Tamiya Tiger 1 Build

Googly,
I did look on Archer's web site, but I guess I missed them. Putting the balkenkreuz on the sides of the turret was really "fun", given how thick Tamiya's decals are. Eventually they did...

RE: Tamiya Tiger 1 Build

Thanks Googly!

I had thought of using dry transfers, but I wasn't able to find the ones I wanted. Maybe they're out there and I missed them? I also thought of making my own decals. I tried it on...

RE: Tamiya Tiger 1 Build

Thanks Gary,
I think I'll take a short break (and actually mow the lawn, get some sun and fresh air:D). I'm waiting for some PIII parts to show up, so that will probably be next. Either that or I...
