RE: .18 go engines? and mods???

Main thing I have noticed with it, is that no matter what I do to it, it will not RPM up like the CVRM. It appears to be more of a torque engine (and yes, I have adjusted the timing of the transfer...

RE: Engine Comparison... Help?

Yes...

And don't base you decisions on what the manufacturers post about their engines. The numbers are pretty much BS, unless you are comparing two engines made by the same manufacturer...then...

RE: New to the rc boatworld

Before you decide what to get...find your closest club and see what they are running.

Even if you just plan to run for sport, once you start running it...it will get kind of boring unless you...

RE: RB#9 marine3.5 engine

The description says it has a slide carb, which would limit some folks from purchasing it, but it looks like a rotary carb in the pic and in the illustrated parts break-down.

RE: i need some help

I don't think it is the root of your problem, but I think the MC9 is a bit cold for 40% nitro.

RE: MVD prop shaft strut bearing

problem I had with the MVD, was that the bushing was pretty tight on the stub shaft, and loose in the strut. So I think the bearing was actually spinning with the stub shaft.

RE: where can i get k&b parts ?

I thought car engines were limited to the size of the bore of a carb?? If so, he might be better off getting a carb from another boat engine, before getting one for a car.

RE: o.s..18 cvr-mx crank

No...the CVRMX crank has a pin on the backside of it that is made to engage the starter's shaft. So, without modifying it, I would say no because the crank for the CVR does not have the pin.

If...

RE: Weird Performance from engine

Water does not compress too well...if you sucked in a bunch of water at full throttle, you may have bent/damaged something in the engine.

RE: MISS VEGAS DEUCE TAKING ON A LOT OF WATER!!!

Make sure your cooling system is not leaking.

I run with the plug removed from the rear. The boat is not made to idle around the pond, so running at speed this helps drain the water. Whether...

Anyhow, I do have the trim tabs on my boat, but have not tried it without them. I...
