Those flatspins are my favorite manuever. The UCD does them about as good as anything I've seen. Maybe the Mayhem does them a bit better but not much. You gotta love these planes. Thanks
Barry
PS: Good luck with the 4.8volt. I'll bet it solves your problems.

Hey Gary... Hope you find your glitch problem... I use a 6v with no problems..
Maybe it's some other interference from somewhere else?? Can you move
say a few yards further from your normal spot and see if it still does it in the
same area of you and the plane???
On your 100/UCD... I remember you installed the mount a little higher, do
you remember how much?? And did you add anymore Rt. thrust??
I still have not done anything to the UCD... It's still sitting on my temp table
in my Computer room... Thought I would work on it as the "Boss" went to
Vegas... But then again the "other" boss came back to stay and "Watch" me
so I would not be alone:-)) And here's my Grand Daugther... Boss # 2 or
is that #4....

verry cute granddaughter Ron, looks like a go-getter
and i have moved around and its the same everywhere, and i didnt get the chance to check it out today, taking the G.D. to the movies(some choclate factory?)
the mount was about 1/4 in high so the cowl would fit better and i added 2 more deg r thrust and one deg up and i like it better there,(dont dive to the wheels as much.

The UCD46 is my first dual servo elevator control plane.
Do most people just use a "y" connector for their elevator connection, or use a aux port for the second servo?
I'm using a JR 8103 transmitter and a JR R700 receiver.

Great video, I need one of you guys to hover over a tree and drop a line to my plane and pull it out.
Tonight we will attempt to get it down with a latter and a pole. If this doesnt work i may try Spud's suggestion of the fire debt. Its kind of back off the edge of a farmers field so I dont know if they would be able to do much. I was thinking of calling a tree cutting service and offering up some money to anyone there who wants to climb up and get it out.

gjeffers, if it's just a bad antenna wire, why don't you just replace the wire. You should be able to get a replacement antenna at your LHS. It is important that you replace the wire with one that is the correct length for your receiver. If the folks at the hobby shop can't tell you the correct length, give the manufacture a call to get the correct length for your RX.

About the wire, all you have to do is to replace it to the same length. And of course range check it. [X(]

yea guys, i am just kind of leary about changing it because it seams to be shorting out right at the case where it goes thru it. i guess since it might be toast anyways i might see if i can get it apart(oh boy, i get to tear something apart!!).i know it needs to be the same lingth but what about using a solid core wire?i have some the same size but its solid

I don't know about how well solid core would work. Maybe what you could do is to put a couple layers of heat shrink in that section of wire. That should do it....
Rfaria, You can use a Y connector. I did for a short time and didn't like that one of the servo horns was upside down to have the throw go the right direction. You could also use a reverser but it adds a little more weight and they are kind of pricey for me. My TX (futaba 9C) allows me to "add it in" on another channel. I don't know about the JR you have, if you can do that or not. Give that a check.

Hey Sctcrash, Good job in getting it back. It looks great. In fact, it looks better than my plane. Hmmm.....[:-]
Well, I tried to fly today. There was no one at the field. This has been about the 3rd or 4th time now that I've gotten there this summer and no one was there. I don't get it. Another month it may be monsooning here and we won't be able to fly and when it's nice out, no one shows up....... [>:] So far I've never flown by myself. Somehow it doesn't sound like fun. I may have to break all my principals and try it. Maybe I can try some low inverted fly-bys like Gjeffers........[8D]
