Can you please let me know why you still have not shipped out my order that I placed on 12/15/06. Order # 1543... I have e-mailed you 4 times now with no response. There were 6 of my item in stock at the time of my order and now as of 2 days ago there are none. I placed 2 orders from you in 2 days The first one came right away but the second one never showed. Maybe you will answer me here in this public forum since you don't seem to answer your e-mails..... Please let me know what's going on, the least you could have done was to get back to me about the status. As of this time I can't see myself doing business with you again and I can not recommend your company to my friends and fellow club members. This is my personal view from my own experience.

I am not one to get into pissing matches or call someone out as I don't personally know you but I always assume the best of folks. I did not receive any E-mail on the 27th from you. Nor did I receive any e-mail to my other inquiries why would I keep asking for updates if I had heard back from you?. Maybe it got lost in cyber space who knows. But I have to ask how did you answer my E-mail 9 hours and 40 minutes before I sent it? See your time stamp.--EDIT after the post ----Sorry got my PM and AM screwed up, I hate it when that happends ----... Also why did I have to select USPS shipping if Free was an option on the drop down, I selected Free for my Cowling and you sent it out?... Don't bother shipping anything out, I will hopefully find it else where..

I would also ask that you promptly re-move my personal information from your post... I will inform RCU that you have posted this info with out my consent... I'm sure this was just an oversight on your part and was not meant to be malicious in any way.

Let's keep this under control fella's. We don't need personal information posted, let's stick to the facts and be adults about how we confront and communicate our discontent.

You had to select USPS shipping as we instruct you to do, for all electric planes and accessories. We had this info posted 3 different screens before you check out.
If you missed it it is not our fault, sorry. As for your cowl order we did charge 5.95 USPS shipping rate, although you still choose FREE shipping witch ONLY apply to Gas powered models during promotion time.
I also do not see how we should be responsible for your lost e-mails.
Would it be too much to ask YOU to remove your 'BAD" comments you made about AKM?

Totally off the subject of order issues, do you have any idea when the CMP Giant Cessna might be back in stock with you? I would really like to purchase one, but I am finding that this model is out of stock everywhere. I would rather order it from you if at all possible.
Thanks,
drdenny
BTW - Enjoy my Super Chipmunk 40 I received a few weeks ago. I did not hasve any issues building this ARF, and am waiting to go out and fly it.
Thanks.

Hi Alex - just watching the FedEx Delivery screens. I have no compliants at all - FedEx shows that you got the shipping info to them on 2 Jan, picked up on 3 Jan and will deliver to me on 5 Jan. This is better delivery service than a lot of other mail order hobby places. You were very responsive to my e-mails and I appreciate that. I'm sorry that others love to complain, but not me. Keep up the good work. Less than 6 days from order to delivery (that includes the holiday!!).
Just a footnote: Plane arrived today, no damage. Thanks so Much. I'm looking forward to building and flying it. 3 days from your place to my home, outstanding.

Alex,
It seems you might have a nice business going. You did ask for comments from people here. Yet when someone brings something up you immediately blame them. You should seriously consider a Public relations consultant. As someone who spent too many years bridging the gap between unsatisfied clients and corporate policy, it is a given that you don't blame someone for thier disatisfaction with you, especially in public!
I am personally interested in another source for CMP products and spare parts!
Hang in there and make friends here. It would be better for business is people see that you bend over backward to satisfy your customers. Otherwise, why should we switch from other dealers?

Alex,
I am impressed that you started this post, that alone shows me that you are trying to run good bussiness. I although I do not own one of your planes you are a pretty big hit in the club that I belong to (The Spirts of St. Louis). Many of the members own your planes and most of them are satisfied. I thinking of the Simple flier for my next project just because it flies so damn well on the G3 simulator

I recently ordered a Richmodels Yak-54 electric profile. It arrived with a broken wing which appeared to be damaged in shipping. I e-mailed photos of the damage on a Saturday and got a response within a couple hours. I have recieved a tracking number for the replacement plane and was told to just keep the damaged one. Maybe others have had issues but my problem was resolved quickly with great, friendly service. I will definitely buy again.
As for the the quality of the plane, I was very impressed. Aside from the damaged wing, the components are straight and covered well. The hardware looks good too. I was happy with the quality I got for the price I paid.

Hello, I bought one of these SPE 40cc engines also from AK Models. Have had a few problems with it, but fired right up out of the box. The timing was WAY out of whack and the needles had to be tuned. I didn’t mind searching threw these forums and getting answers on how to set it up. What really bothers me is I am just now finding this subject on these engines. I wish I had not bought it now. The engine vibrates so much at low RPM's, I have to snug up the mounts every flight on my extra. I guess you get what you pay for. Should have bought a glow

Alex,
I purchased a P-51 140size from you. Actually this is for all the upset customers. I have gad nothing but a good experience. I ordered it the weekend of Christmas. I tried to buy a P-40E 140size however it was out of stock. I received an E-mail Dec. 26 that the P-51 will be sent. FedEx did not pick up the box untill the 28th. I could have blamed AKM for sending it late, but the tracking information showed otherwise. I found that when I was in retail sales, when a customer is wrong and "bashing"you, human reaction is to defend yourself. I agree don't say a customer is wrong all the time. However in the two (three) people's posts, I would say that they were wrong. AKM just was defending what was said. When Alex posted the SECOND e-mail that showed confirmation numbers to show that he did infact make an effort, suddenly it offended GotSky and he started threatening or defending himself. Showing he was wrong made him defensive. Count the good posts, now count the bad posts. . . no count the number usernames that posted the bad posts. . .
Alex I say that you are doing a great job! Remember some people just want something for nothing and if they can't get it to work it must be defective!

Good Post Nick - If something is physically wrong with a plane, or an engine - it is not the distributor's fault, blame the manufactuer. All the distbributor can do is try to make it right, but sometimes they can't. If you get a plane damaged in shipment, hopefully the business wil make it right. I know from shiping planes that sometimes it is the shipper that did the damage. But that's what insurance is for. No business person wants to lose business, but sometimes the customer is not right, but they trash talk anyway. As for people trying to bash Alex, all I can say is that he is all right in my book. He promptly answered my e-mails, and shipped my purchase very quickly. If my CMP Zero goes in on its first flight, then it might be the fault the company that made it or myself (if I have not done my research correctly). But I'm not going after Alex. He did his job selling me a product, but bottom line _ I'm the one that chose to buy it and I have to take responsbility to ensure that I have done everything to make it flight worthy. IMHO.

Interesting... I sent an E-mail on Jan 5th about 8PM. I wanted to know what shipping was on a cowl for the CMP corsair 50. I also inquired about availabilty of another aircraft I wanted to purchase. I still haven't heard back. It's only been 4 days, with two on a weekend, yet you got a response within two hours on a weekend.
I am still interested but curious if they got my E-mail.

Just read this entire post stem to stern---
My experience with Alex and AKM has been nothing but positive. Despite the few decanters I will continue to use AKM with absolutely no hesitation. Currently the only thing wrong with AKM is that they don't sell a Stuka. (insert hint here)

When I was still working at "Corporate America", I recall an article in the Wall Street Journal about customer services and customer relations. Most businesses recognize the need to satisfy the customer, if possible. However, sometimes it is best to "fire" some customers because their business is not worth the expense and drain on resources to try to appease a chronic complainer.
I have no way of knowing if any of the issues brought up on this thread would be so described, but any time I encounter any of the occassional examples of hysterical complaining and attack threads against a business I see from time to time, this little red flag starts waving in the back of my head.
Just my opinion.
