so i landed it rolling. it must of hit a bump and jumped in the air. when it got down it broke the front clean off. so the landing gear area is plenty strong. the 1" area that holds the fusalage is a nother issue.the whole front part that has the tank broke clean off. with the wing sunk in so far and the "bolt on" bottom hatch the top area of the fusalage in front of the wing is real weak it seams.
matt bounced his twist in a bunch of times. i roll it in and it is dead on one hopp.
it is getting plywood joining the front of the wing pocket to the rear wing pocket.

Yup that is the major weak point in this plane, That's why I plan on the kit instead of the ARF. On the old ARF I have, I lost the nose a few times and it was looking pretty beat up so I finally got some 1/8 light ply and made it go around the wing some and epoxied it there, Didn't look the greatest but this one was really beat up looking. However whenever I took it to the field and people who never seen this one fly saw it.... They didn't expect much of a flight LOL They all seemed to have a different opinion of it after it flew. added a lot of weight after god knows how many repairs but it handled the weight without a problem. I'll try to get some pics of it this weekend. Although one wing is wrecked you will see what I mean with how beat this looks LOL The ply I added didn't even get covering, I just thinned some epoxy and painted it with that to fuel proof. i used to love the looks of the people who seen it before flight LOL. This plane had charicter and was a ton of fun to fly too even if it made a ugly stick look cute. This thing was so ugly I had to love it.

so this is how i am fixing it. i hope it works out. it has to be stronger with 3/16" plywood connecting the wing pocket ends.

excellent repair work, I planned on doing something like this with the kit if I ever get around to ordering it, Too many planes in process right now to get ready for the season but the kit should be only a few weeks work putting some time after work every night. That definitely looks much better than the repair I did LOL I can't complain though, Mine was given to me after I repaired the wing for someone and flew it for at least 4 yrs almost every weekend in the summer and must have had hundreds of flights. Your repair should hold well.Keep us posted with the repair and I should be ordering the kit this week, When I get to build itI'll post the mods I do to it.

so the other day i flew it ok landed , went to take off and it darted the other way and i had to bail from the take off. well it was not good and the back behind the wing broke clean off. so i glued it back together recoated it (patched it more like it) had to get two servos cause he did not have gears for the jr47s.

today was a good day. up3 times and 2 dead stick landings 5 or so min into the time.i took home a whole plane today wohoo. we drilled holes in the landing gear to weaken it and one dead stick was ploping it in a field. i stalled it out about 1ft off and itworked good. thegear bent some ,piece of cake. i went from a 11x6 to 11x5 and the super tiger runs better.

now a question. i ended up getting monicote cause no white in ultracote. the monicote acted like it did not want to stick to the coating on plane very well or the plywood. i cleaned the planes surface more than once. it is like they do not like each other. also the dazzlers covering when i pulled it off felt like a tape adhesive on the back.

and on the ground it seems hard to have it roll strate.is this a dazzler small tail wheel thing or do i need to look at something. it is not a pulls left a bit i need right rudder thing. it is like the plane is going where ever it wants and i have to try to get it back before it gets air or hits something. it happened again today but it was not in the air going at a big object this time(why i broke the back off last time)

any ideas? it was a fun night. i like flying it and am getting handy putting it back together.

well bad news. i think the dazzler is junk. i am going to take all my stuff out of it and pull the coating off it. it broke the engine off the front and pulled the wing off the wing pocket. plus some damage to front of wing.there is some tail damage also but not bad.
what happened as far as i can tell i came out of a dive and pulled up and after that it would only fly inverted with full down. so i pulled the throttle to idle and ditched it upside down. it was not busted into pieces but it is not great also.we did find the elevator had a half broken off. i am thinking it failed when i pulled out of the dive. i may try to fix it. after all it is only glue and time if i can not.
i do not know if i will get a nother one. i liked the way it flyed after i made it stronger.

well landing upside down did not do anything good for the carb. i had to work to get it off. a bit of time with a flat file and it is ok again. just ordered a carb bolt from tower hobbies.(it got messed up some)

almost back together. covering it now then i need to glue some plywood to the bottom where the landing gear bolts to since it was in 3 pieses. between this and making my drag bike longer i am busy. at least sofar it is only glue and a couple of nick knacks. i am thinking i may be up this weekend.

well good news. i had it up sunday and it flew great like always. i now have the correct servo cranks on the correct servos. i think in the end haveing a jr servo crank on a st was the wreck. the one fits on the other but if not stupid tight it will ratchet a couple of notches.messes up the trim something fearce.
we had no wind to little. the supertiger is staying running but it is acting rich in mid range. i need to do more tuneing.
also the stock 8oz tank broke so i had to go with a 6oz. i now bring it in around the 5 to 6 min time so i have some oh poop fuel for trouble. if i beat it 5 min it is done.
i am going to try a 11x4 prop next. it is better with the 11x5 vs 11x6.
atleast the plywood braces held the plane together. u guys with this plane need to make your own access with the plywood like i did and real landing gear.

I had a OS FX 46 on mine and used a 12x4 with great results, A 11x4 might not be enough prop for the engine so be careful not to stay at full throttle for too long if you try the 11x4
