I think these should do just fine it's not like I am going to be flying all day every day. I am disabled so I fly some and then rest and then fly some more. Maybe a half of day of flying and will fly four or five flights with this plane and then there is other to fly. You know you have to fly them all or they get mad and then the little one's start fights in the hanger>>>>>>> Thanks for the info and the web site has a lot of good info thank you

I broke mine in on pennz and it will stay on it at 32:1 You can find it any where. I have found it a target, walmart ,kmart, even 7-11 and circle K.

YEP !!!
Or like me just leave it at 32:1. Pennz air cooled is good stuff. Makes lots of power at 32:1...or 40:1.

Yes, yes, yes!! I see no reason whatsoever to use less oil. Now that my DL is getting a little more time on it, it is not putting out as many specks as it once did and I have witnessed a power gain as I have mentioned several times before, by using my oil @ 32:1.

Besides, one swipe with some alcohol on a paper towel and it is perfectly clean-no scrubbing or effort required!

I got advised the other day that using a paper towel wet with the fuel you use to fly with cleans the engine residue off the plane pretty well. Tried it and it works faster and easier than anything else I've used. Doesn't seem to effect painted cowels but could damage graphics.

Good idea. Another thing I found that worked good on that real hard to clean black residue I got when I used Lawnboy ashless was WD40. I would spray a little bit on a piece of paper towel and it would wipe right off. Then I would clean off the WD 40 with Windex.

Ive been using pure gasoline to wipe off the plane for some time now and it works like a charm.
even just a little vapor of it is enough to do the job. and no oily stuff left behind.
This is especially very useful if you are using smoke system with paraffin oil. all is done with the first wipe.

Goes inline between ignition power switch and igniton. And also has a lead that goes to spare channel on your RX.
Assign channel to switch (ie landing gear for example) and ignition is turned off/on remotely from TX (in addition to mechanical switch on your airframe) and has a remote mountable LED to show you when ignition is armed.
If you rx loses power it will kill the ignition
If your rx loses signal it will kill the ignition (unless you are using Failsafe and have set the channel it is plugged into to hold, in that case it will keep the engine running, obviously if you lose power to rx, failsafe is also off air, but no power at rx feature kicks in and the killswitch will cut the motor anyway)
If something happens to your throttle link etc, you can kill the motor at any time using the switch on your TX. If your rx is off air it will kill it anyway (as mentioned above)
In USA you can by 42% ones direct from www.42-percent-products.com as well as several other dealers such as ValleyViewRC.
We sell to Aust/NZ and rest of world, excluding USA

I wouldn't say you're SOL as long as you have the rest of your guidance system working. In that situation you know you are going to have a dead stick landing, you just fly out the remaining fuel in the tank at a safe altitude and land when the engine stops making so much noise.
The optical kill switch allows you to remotely shut down the ignition system on your engine at your will. It also will shut down the ignition system if your receiver looses contact with your transmitter to keep your plane from flying off into the next state.

Guys the other day I put a new ngk plug and a xoar prop on my new DL-50. I started it up and it was running rough, so I tuned the high side and all was good, ran like a champ. The very next day I flew my new plane for the first time, but the engine was out of tune again. Any ideas why it would have done that? Im running Penzzoil 32:1, I made sure that the plug gap was rite also. Fill me in if you have any ideas. Oh, and by the way, with the engine sputtering like it was, it still pulled the Aeroworks Extra 260 vertical with no problem!!! Cant wait to see how it does with it runing just rite.
