RE: Thunder tiger ST-1
Same question ^^
Also doing the steering mod. I decided to try something different I swapped around the turnbuckles so the angeled piece is now at the brace end pointing out torwards the steering rack, this way the steering rod doesn't rub on the shocks, also had to grind away a bit of the brace, and extended the turnbuckle for steering like Jombo mentioned. Looks good, I will get pics tomorrow. I still have to grind the brace, so once I find my dremel bits, or buy a new one I will get pics up, and see how it handles in comparison.

For the steering mod check this. Sounds worth it to me.

Yeah i wouldnt worry too much just keep an eye on the rest of them if you take it for a run incase another one comes loose. I ran mine with 3 for a while thinking that a the nut was still in there under some dried dirt until i finally cleaned it out to find the nut missing lol stupid me. But i couldnt tell the difference anyway like no extra vibrations or anything

RE: Thunder tiger ST-1
The steering mod is a must for the ST-1 and all you actually need as a base is a pair of 80mm turnbuckles and the longer screws, thats it. I cut my old rtr's alloy ackerman with a hacksaw and smoothed the edges off on the concrete and i have some HPI 4x80mm turnbuckles on order and i'll be set. If you want you can get the red alloy ackerman with the extra bearings which really would be a better option but you can use the stock one just the same. With this mod, a good steering servo and the technique that Jombo uses you should be able to pretty much turn on the spot

RE: Thunder tiger ST-1
i did notice that the stock one since it dosent have the bearings it moves alot at the screws. i think you may benifit with the red one, less slop in the steering.
