Sorry no i havent run the S7 yet, im going to try and get it fully run in tomorrow. Im going to the beach with a mate for most of the day but, just to give myself a break from the wicked step mom. Although the revving of a nitro engine should be sufficient to really get on her nervs and drive her up the wall[>:] lol. Either way, as soon as its up and running im going to post pics and a vid on youtube. Iv searched for ages and there doesnt seem to be anything on an ST-1 with a hi-po .21 Im also going to get some footage of it with my Nosram running the 2 speed. Iv got 2 of them and iv already tried it with the older one and it was fast! All i can say. On the newer one i tried a different run in method and it seems to be getting more and more powerful with every tank of fuel i put through it. It seems a fair bit more powerful than the older one so i'll put the 2 speed pinion on that one hehe. I know it can pull wheelies already so it should be interesting with a second gear in the mix

Any ace digital servo really is a good one. the 1313 is the perfect servo for the throttle/brake, excellent choice there, and the 1015, well i use that myself on the steering so yeah thats a winner too. The reason i say the JR Z9100S is the best for steering is because it has the torque of the 1313 but with double the speed. The ST-1 being light on its feet doesnt need a massive torque servo on the steering so anything down to 150 oz/in would really be suffice but its still preffered to get higher torque. The JR's 180 oz/in is sweet and at 0.06 /60degree@6V, i think its safe to say its the fastest out there

just run it on concrete or bitumen or grass anything with high traction. That way it wont slide so you'll have a better indication of exactly what the car is doing in a turn

Its not so much that you dont need it, its just that once your moving, massive torque in a steering servo isnt entirely necessary. What i really meant was that you COULD race with 150 if you had to and still work the corners alright with a bit of added driving technique, BUT.. higher is better, like anything, and it makes driving it easier. And also it depends on what engine you have and how fast it can make your truggy go. If your talking like Picco .28 with a JP-2 fast, then your gonna need a fast servo to compensate for your reflexes, not saying your slow but it would be veeeerryy fast and youd need faster hardware to keep up with it

I can't wait to see your S7 vids. I'm curious to see what a nice .21 will do in a ST-1 myself.

Give it a try just dont lake to much off you need to have an idea of what you are going for like do you need to rais compression? I would run a high nitro content if you plan on dumping more fuel and air in the motor, or maybe just a cooler plug so you you don't pre ignight, depending on how the quality of the engin is you might me able to just smooth out the ports, polish them if they are rough this will make a huge diffrence, just my 2 cents.

My starter box and 12v came a few minutes ago. I got this [link=https://www.amainhobbies.com/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=racers+edge+ge l+cell&x=0&y=0]Battery/Charger[/link] . How long is the initial charge and will it hurt to leave it plugged in?
